Tredders out for 23. Billings 86*. Let's hope Claydon and Riley stay with him long enough to allow him to get his ton.

Should he do that, the next quiz question will be:

When was the last time three Kent Batsmen hit a hundred in the same innings?
  • Oh dear Claydon's gone. Billings on 88 now. Come on Riles hang on in there!
  • Billings out for 92. Still a great innings given that it was off just 116 balls.

    507 all out.
  • The aforementioned Will Smith out - LBW to Stevens.

    30-1. Let the collapse begin.

Blimey when was the last time Kent made 500+? I admit I don't follow as closely as some on here so I'll look very silly if it was just a few games ago. :-)

Can the bowlers step up and force a follow on? Seems a while since we held the upper hand in a match.

As an aside my nephew took 3-26 in 7 overs (first three wickets) Leics 2nd innings today in Essex innings victory - didn't bowl in first innings as bowled them out using only three bowlers.

Bowling average is 16.75 and strike rate of 27.

Two 0 not outs when batting so far...

  • Rumours keep surfacing of the return of Joe Denly.

In and out of the Middlesex side he has struggled to average 20 in the CC this season.

That's not really what we're looking for.

Im not sure. He obviously hasn't gone well at Middlesex, but if he can be rejuvenated by a return to Kent, then I would definitely want him back.
  • 174-4. Tredders gets danger man Vince.

Typical Kent Hampshire are going to avoid the follow on. Just 23 needed.

How can we let that last wicket stand happen?

7 around the bat and dig into the ribs, then catch it. Simple.

    Not a bad days work
    ***********************************
Durham seam bowler Chris Rushworth took 15 wickets in a day as Northants crashed to an incredible innings defeat on day three at Chester-le-Street.

The visitors were bowled out twice in the space of three-and-a-half hours to lose by an innings and 219 runs.

Rushworth took 9-52 either side of lunch as they were dismissed for 83.

They only managed 90 after following on as he produced 6-43 for match figures of 15-95, the best by a Durham bowler in a Championship fixture.
