Gold and Sullivan have made a derisory offer for the whammers which will be turned down.

They are also keeping their options open on other alternatives.

I thought becuase he only live round the corner, Gold, was going to buy Palace. That was nailed on fact a few weeks back.

That's like saying I would only buy a house if it were across the road from the Valley. The Golds are businessmen and are only willing to part with cash where there is money to be made. We have everything to offer to make that a viable option for them. Palace don't even own their ground and if they did it would need £25M spent on it to bring it up to a reasonable standard.

When the Gold interest first materialised in both Palace and Charlton, I said that he wasn't interested in either, and was simply using both clubs as a bargaining tool, I havn't seen anything to change my opinion yet.

As for Jordan, he will find it very difficult to move the club on, if he looks to clear all of his debt. I believe there are several parties interested in Palace, but it will take either administration or a strong dose of realism from Jordan before the club moves on.

While I can't deny things aren't too rosey for Palace's finances at the moment, I can at least say on the pitch Palace are still getting great results, and it's times like this which remind me why I enjoy supporting a club like Palace, as it never gets boring.

I just supported Palace for 40 years and in that time I have seen football in the top 3 divisions, (although it's some time since we were in the 3rd division), an FA cup final, administration, and of course European football. I just look forward to seeing what the next 40.

looks like they can get WHU for a knock down £20M --£30M . I think to take over us would cost em £20M . A team alreadyin the prem or one inn Div 1 ????

Not quite, they'll be paying a lot more and taking on some of the debt.

Who knows what they are offering or what the deal is, but maybe they have made a pre-emptive offer knowing that other offers that can trump theirs are on the way, in the meantime their's is on the table raather than a prospective offer. If there are other punters out there then I'd expect West Ham to knock this back, it doesn't mean that Gold & sullivan won't improve their terms though.

I felt that the very public appearence of Gold/Brady on Saturday was clearly mean't to send a signal to the Hamsters owners that they are looking at alternatives. Who knows how this will pan out? David Gold has supported West Ham all his life and played for them briefly in his youth. He would love to own his club - he said this in a recent BBC interview. On the other hand he is no mug and I am sure that he doesn't intend to over pay for a club in a huge financial hole. So much will depend on what the current owners are prepared to take. My guess is not as little as Gold/Sullivan have offered.

Can't seem to quote a previous post but alternative prospective buyer Tony Fernandes has just made a substantial investment in the new Lotus F1 team. He may be a multi-millionaire but I really can't see any top businessman newly investing in two totally separate, expensive sporting ventures at one time.

It's bad enough Air Asia being the official low-cost airline of Man Utd but West Ham? Claret and blue planes? I think I'd have to change airline allegiance.

Untrue West Ham have denied these stories this morning...The court case in Iceland have given the hammers board another 12 months to sort their money problems out so now they don't have to sell on the cheap....

If Gold wants it now they will have to pay the full 120 mill and they are not going to do that

Anyone else hear the interview on Radio London after the spanners game last night with a Brummie journo who knows Gold and Sullivan personally? Quite an in depth interview,he basically said he'd been told by them that they didnt expect their bid to be accepted by Wham,we were mentioned quite a bit and he ruled out the Palace link because of their dislike of Tangoman. How much this guy knows remains to be seen but he seemed quite well informed and spoke very highly of Gold and Sullivan.

Correct SAP, a 50m bid which includes taking on some of the debt and something to spend in Jan as well so I reckon i'd guess completely at 15-20m transfer kitty and 30-35m to the 'owners'/banks.

Will they accept? We'll find out before the new year it seems.
