[cite]Posted By: JiMMy 85[/cite]I'm a website editor, and even I can't figure this site out (which is a failure of the site, internet fans! Not the user).

Even though I've said how you do it and it consists of ticking one box?

If you have to tell users directly how to use the site, then yes, someone, somewhere, has failed. Miserably.

But you still can't manage to tick that BBC box?

Not my site so I'll let the people who do run this site (free of charge, at their own considerable expense and for the benefit of other fans) comment on their miserable failure but for me it's a great site and it would be even better if people took just a few seconds to tick a box so other people found it easier to read what they are saying.

After you have clicked on quote then go to the bottom of the text box and click on "BBCode"

Then just click on add your comments as normal

Yes, please do. This is nuts. I've got the very best site developer my team has standing next to me, and he's laughing his a55 off at the quote system.

Just out of interest, why is it even an option to choose between HTML/ Text and BBCode (which. I'm told, is undamentally flawed anyway!)? Please tell me it's not for dial up connections!!

When writing your post, tick the circle next to 'BBCode' on the line beginning 'Format comments as', below the comments box.

    Easy as.

    Nice one, JiMMy.

No you don't do it everytime ........ once it's done, the BBCode circle should stay ticked.
    Providing you don't log out.

No idea, it's not my site but maybe because it's not a commercially funded site run for profit but one that is run, and I repeat, by others fans at their own cost for the benefit of other fans so doesn't have access to the latest or best software or whatever.

Maybe rather than criticising you could offer your help, privately, to improve the site.

Yeah, fair enough mate! I'm only half-geek, so user testing's probably my limit. But hey, I can rope in one of our dev team for advice once in a while! Who should I offer my assistance to, would you wager?

Jazzy's done his bit, Henry! You'll be singing tonight as your part of the deal then!!?

I don't know my arse from my elbow when it comes to websites but maybe a small note advising how to do quotes next to the BBCode or when you join up might save Henry having to misplace his condescending. Clearly if you haven't had the benefit of one of Henry's or somebody elses explanations then you wouldn't know how to do it. We'd then be able to concentrate on the important stuff like not starting new threads on similar topics or how to construct a sentence properly. Personally i quite enjoy watching Henry tell people off and i was certainly hoping this little discussion was going to get a bit more 'tasty'.

    Sure will.

    How does it go again?

Boring old fart fact. When we made the record some of the players couldn't pronounce "Choir" when they saw it written down as they didn't recognise it. And not just the Danish one if I remember rightly

I can't decide which I like more: this thread or the 'pubs in the area' one.

Perhaps your elbow could do a small type - ''How to quote'' in the search box before you start?
    How hard can it be?

Still, easier for Jimmy to criticise I supporse.

"i think ditching the cafc cafc chant would be a step forward - like trying something new with your wife like watching porn - before you know it the valley will be a cauldron and the wife's begging for it up the wrong un. "

No doubt you are one of the fans who would love to see the north stand all in stone island singing songs with no clapping allowed!

Lets be honest, that chant has been around for years.
    Its not going anywhere.
And this idea of getting rid of "red army" or "cafc" is quite ridiculous.
It will make the atmopshere go from bad to non-existant as those two songs are the only ones which gets some reaction outside of the j & h blocks.

The atmosphere round the Valley was fantastic last night against the Pirates. The only negative thing was that a few fans up by me were booing at full time. But we can't win em all I spose
