If the Francis rumour is true then maybe this guy is likely to be our new right back?  Two if's likely = 5 but would make more sense as Powell wanted height & power in the CB berths, Morrison doesn't quite match in that respect.

Leicester mate of mine who goes to every game says he's a good player that can do right and centre back roll - plus he worth betting on for first goal as he's pretty useful at corners.

I also think having a player that can play right back and centre back gives us option of playing three at the back to chase a game or pack a midfield as Curbs did so well in certain games so can see why a player like this appeals. I am not sure you could trust a Solly or Francis in this role. It will make us more flexible and less one dimensional

Powell said he wanted height and power but it looks like there's not a lot of options in the market at the moment. If Colchester are holding out for silly money over Magnus then I'd be happy to have Morrison over no-one. If Dailly can't agree a new deal then we only have Doc and Taylor. Doc's pretty poor and Taylor has an injury history so it would be good to be Morrison in and keep looking for a big lad to add to the defence. Basically, as long as Doc isn't starting at the back I'll be happy with most anyone.

Skysports.com understands Charlton have made a move for Sheffield Wednesday defender Michael Morrison.

Morrison, who only joined Wednesday last January from Leicester, does not appear to figure in Gary Megson's plans at Hillsborough.

The Owls boss is ready to offload the 23-year-old and it is believed Charlton have made an offer for the versatile defender.

Addicks boss Chris Powell is keen to land the former Leicester man as he looks to bolster his defensive options.

However, they could face competition for Morrison with a number of other clubs monitoring his situation.

Tony Marks & Jon Spencer would be a great pairing at the back.

  • James Wilson of Bristol City would be a great signing, been crocked all last season, so just our type of player.

I agree. This would be the Safeway to go especially if we get the PriceRite.
  • shame we missed out on Clayton McDonalson, still think we still have one player next season who will make it Big: Macormack

Pleased if we sign Morrison, he seems a player with a point to prove and certainly fufills the "hunger factor" mentioned previously. The fact he knows CP is also a major advantage and it seems from the Leicester board he is a player that may need some good man management.

He knows this division well and the fact he played so much when Leicester did well in the Championship 2 seasons ago shows there is a good defender there .

Can he run though? I don't want us to sign any more defenders that aren't pacy.

Kenny Spopin would be a better signing.

What a shame we didn't keep Charlie Macdonald(s), Matt 'Large' Fr(ies) and Mark Fish.  That would have given us something to chew over.

There's one in Eltham but when I googled it to make sure the famous shop still existed there seems to be one in Sevenoaks.

    Kenny's empire is expanding.
