Been badly critisised for mistakes he has made and did go off the boil for a bit.but what player dosent probably apart from solly.one of our best players and love it when he gets forward looks desperate to get on the scoresheet.
Certainly hasn't looked out of his depth, there have been mistakes but he's young and making a big step up in being essentially our first choice centre back. With time and experience he will be an absolute monster of a defender at Championship level, I hope it's with us. I could live without the back-passes to be fair but I'd rather he do that and we keep possession as opposed to a seventy yard Hollywood long ball right onto the oppositions' foreheads as we've seen certain other defenders try!
Another impressive season from The Rock. Yes he has made a couple of clangers but has also been part of a mean defence coming up against some quality strikers. Also chips in with a few goals too.
A few seasons ago, he was a rock in the Leicester team that won the League One title (2008-09).
And proceeded to be a regular 1st teamer the following season (2009-10) in the Championship, as Leicester finished 5th and qualified for the playoffs. He was on the bench, when Kermo missed that penalty.
After 82 appearances for Leicester, he signed for Sheff Weds before coming to Charlton.
He's another player on our books who's made the step up from non-League. Who knew Morro was an England C international, capped 8 times scoring 3 goals? I didn't!
I think we have to remember his partners haven't been that consistent either. Rio always plays better with Vidic and I think Morrison will be great next year with a regular partner, whoever that may be.
I think he was brilliant last season and was good this. Had a few games were he struggled a little. I did think last season he could potentially be premiership, but this season looked like high Championship is his level. Maybe he will push on next season.
I would suggest the records speak for themselves - the back five performances over the past two seasons are one of the main reasons we have been able to achieve the progress we have. Morrison has been an integral part of the progress made. If people want to find fault his creative skills may not be the best but his job is first and foremost to defend. He does his job very, very well.
He has a had a few battles this year but to expect otherwise would be plain daft. On occasion the opposition might just have a decent player or two. He has risen to the challenges splendidly. There is not defender in the game at any level who over 44 games will not make the occasional error but in general terms he has shown great consistency.
I sincerely hope he is with us for many more years.
Thank god we let him go. Would hate to have him as cover for Diarra now. And as for suggestions he could have covered at right back for Solly, shudder. Roly knows best!
No I wasn't being serious I was taking the piss but I realise its hard to tell sometimes in the written word. I too would take Morrison back, he was one of several exits I didn't agree with.
Did anyone notice how many times Morro thumped the ball high and long? He didn't fit our 'new' style of play. Which is probably now to lump the ball forward to Big Mak! Still, I do miss him. Strong player.
Let's face it - the decision to let MM go on a free was one of the worst the club has made in years. Even now I scratch my head at it.
Roland - you messed up big time here.
I Disagree actually. Whilst he would have been a useful squad member he was pants as a captain and an awful motivator.
Also not much of a ball player - which we currently have in our (admittedly too few) defenders.
Lovely bloke but wasn't the Beckenbauer people seem to think he was
Disagreement is what makes Charlton Life go round and I respect your view.
But I don't agree with it.
This has been done to death so I won't repeat all that has been said before. But I will just add that having watched our bright new hope, Naby Sarr, get run rugged by some old Huddersfield forwards the other night, you will forgive me if I say that Morrison is different class to Sarr.
Was just about to say that captaining a half decent Birmingham under a very good manager in Rowett might make some fans re-evaluate their views about his lack of captaincy material but I guess not.
Letting him go on a free was a bad call to go with many others.
Could have done with him Saturday - he always had Rhodes' number.
Doubt he would have got bullied by Miller the way Sarr did the other night either. All well and good being twinkle toed, but a centre half needs to be able to defend first.
Call me old fashioned but I like my Defenders to be able to Defend first and foremost. Morro could defend. I'd have him ahead of Sarr and Diarra clearly isn't a 46 game player anymore.

Thought he was far older until I looked it up just now...
Agree with you, Guinessaddick!
