I can just remember the whole home end at Wimbledon (about 74 in total) chanting " Nigel, Nigel" rather mournfully towards Nigel Winterburn (before he left for Arsenal), when we played them at Plough Lane - I dont think ive ever heard a more pathetic sound.
Well if it doesn't happen within the next two weeks I can't see it happening at all. It's not like he's on trial. He's good enough so purely financial.
Messi's a dwarf but few would complain about having him in the team...........
Actually I'd be chuffed if we signed him, but I don't want to be the victim of all that Baldock b****ks for the next several weeks only to realize we never even came close. Life's too short.
I've learned that what Powell says in public is not alway as it seems.. he is a bit economical.... I met me mate and saw the Charlton v Cardiff U18's yesterday as I had rare weekend off. Although I didnt go on the tour myself... what my mate told me concurs with what se9addick be
what the fuck was my sentance about... lol What i actually meant was that i concurred with what se9addict had said regarding reo-coker. The people that went on the training ground tour will know what i mean and I know what se9addict was alluring to re: reo coker about not being in powell's plans? I didnt go on the training ground tour (not a member of VG)
Walking the dogs down the lane where I live and a horse popped his head over a thick hedge, telling me Nige will be a Charlton player by the end of the week...

Midfield looked much sounder & more balanced today but I have to admit that a fit & committed Nigel would be a great addition to the squad IMHO.
But only if he agrees to change his name....
Nigel Butterfield
Nigel McCarthy
Nigel Ambrose
Although the last two changed their names after they'd left us.

That's good enough for me!
