The days of Warne and Macgill are way behind. We have our own problems with swannies elbow, not least because he can also hold a bat. But at least we have Monty who is a world class spinner in his own right, so we have that one over the aussies.

weather permitting the play should start early at 9pm.
  • Read the other day that the Aussie cricket board are trying to lobby their government to get an Asian spinner fast tracked so he can get an Aussie passport and be eligible for the Ashes

Got to love a bit of hypocrisy, would that be the same Australians who continually snipe at our SA born players?

The very same! They also stack their Olympics teams with athletes from all over the world b granting them early residency status, such as well fit pole vaulter Tatiana Grigorieva.

Is it my telly or is the wicket very brown? Cook cuts to point and is gone as I type.

Wow, a boundary! Trott and Bell going steady, 43/3 from 20 overs. And another four on the first ball of the next over!

Just realised that for one ball, both batsmen and the bowler in an England-NZ Test were South African, a situation clearly too volatile to last

Joe Root off the mark with a four behind square on the off-side.
