We played well first half yesterday and I expected a response in the second half after being behind undeservedly.
Goals happen at shit times and yesterday was definitely one of those because it would’ve totally ruined whatever was said the dressing room.
What baffled me is that he appeared to accept that the game was beyond our reach and let the XI on the pitch flail in desperation for 30 minutes rather than do anything about it. Kanu should’ve been thrown on 20 minutes earlier than he was.
That was one of the worst things about yesterday. Obviously going 2-0 down is not a great place to be, but we weren’t playing Real Madrid. There were still 42 minutes left, more than enough time to turn things around against a fellow League One struggler, but it felt like we just gave up.
