  • I've got a couple of quid on Jason Day. Hope he holds it together. Knowing my luck, he'll get struck by lightning on the 18th ;)
  • Would'nt mind anybody of the current lot up there winning it (except Snedeker) but would really like to see Day win it.
  • Was it Scott that went tits up on the last few holes in the Open and Els won it?
  • Tips Update;

Of my top 5, Scott's co-leading, Woods in 4th and Westwood unlucky today, finishing 9th. However it finishes, not a bad outcome.
  • Great ending if He can birdie this just like scott
  • What a shot that was
  • Incredible finish
  • So typical! I backed Day & Scott then this happens! Load of b*llocks
  • You have to wonder if Cabrera's previous play-off win history gives him the edge coupled with Scott's horror show at last year's Open.
  • For me, Scott win gets me £110 winnings. Runner-up only £25.

  • Win a good few quid if Scott wins but really do not care. WHAT a shot that was from Cabrera, balls of steel and up there with Sandy Lyle from the bunker for me. Simply fantastic.
  • Nerves of steel, both of them.
  • Really need to be up early but can't take eyes off this
  • Can't believe someone put 5k on scott to win. Gets 180k if it comes off
  • Always wary with bookies and stories like that
  • Scott wins! Incredible play-off. Highest quality golf and gladiatorial sport. Like a boxing match. If you play golf, you know how hard the game is let alone when that much pressure is on you. Wonderful sport.
  • Tip final summary:

Of my top 5 tips, I ended up with 1st, 4th and 8th. Peanuts would be proud of me. The winner at 28-1 is a nice payday if you took my advice. Money back on 6 Paddypower places means a £150 profit. Nice!
  • Only one winner here if you ask me.

The fella that sold all the green and white umbrellas!
  • Won decent-ish wedge on Scott but my word, what a man Angel Cabrera is.

Class personified. A good few sportsmen could learn one hell of a lot from him.
  • Well done meldrew66 and any others in the money! 1st and 4th is a good result

  • I mistakenly bet on Scott to win the US open not the masters. Don't know how I managed it. Didn't realise till I checked this morning to see my winnings. Disaster.
  • Oh that.is unfortunate

But he will win the us as well!
  • Had £5 each way on Jason Day at 60/1
Won £80 which is cool, but I was shitting it when he was leading with three holes left!
Would have picked up £385 if he'd held it together!
  • calydon; thanks matey. Although I am no 'Peanuts', my research of the recent track records (see my posts on page 2) led me to Scott and Woods. Scott's previous 3 top 10 finishes, including 2nd in 2011, made sense for an (at worst) each way bet; especiallly with 6 places offered by PaddyPower. Woods' recent form led me to go big on him and, I admit, I was sweating when he was at only -1 compared to the leader on -9 for a long time yesterday. Mickelson was a disappointment, though his form has not been good. Not sure many could genuinely predict Cabrera's position given he is more than 200 in the world with no recent winning record of any note. Rose was also a disappointment albeit he had some awful luck. Westwood could easily have been -6 by the turn as he had numerous birdie puts that just wouldn't drop. Felt for him and believe now that he will emulate Monty and never win a Major.
