Having completed the sale of Elfs Mansions on Thursday I am currently residing in New Cross before my move to Brasil.
Loads of new boozers to explore locally in Brockley, New Cross and Peckham.
Tonight I'm in Nunhead Green.  Loads of cracking places here.
The Old Nuns Head (opposite the Man of Kent) does the best Sunday roast in the world.

Oh, and Beer Shop, also on Nunhead Green has a great selection, I tried this fantastic wheat beer yesterday:

Sitting in a Community pub at the moment. They have to do certain things involving the community, so they got a communal allotment and they do a fry-up for ex-forces people on a certain day.

Love it in here tbh -

I just saw your question on the Anglesea on the previous page @Vincenzo.  I spoke to someone recently and there is an appeal process underway.  I don't know if a decision has been made as yet.

Was in Whelans in Surrey Quays the other week and there was a group discussing the Anglesey and then general lack of drinking options now in Charlton/Woolwich. Hopefully they win their appeal.

The following is aimed at good old Wetherspoons.
I have now come to the conclusion that is acceptable from their side of the counter, the bar staff can be rude, ignorant pigs and with zero manners.
I realise we allow for certain things because of being £2.50 a drink cheaper elsewhere but there is no excuse for blatant rudeness.

The Oak on Widmore Green in Bickley has new owners and a refurbishment.

It's now a "bar" with local craft beers and a OK menu.

Went in last night and it was expensive but OK other than the very loud bingo calling over the loud speakers.

There are vacant shops nearby that would make a decent microbrewery.

Not been in there yet as spending all me time in the Crown. I would have thought that two hostelries on that bit of widnore rd would be overkill tho ideal for us locals.
