    I stand corrected.

    Bresnan scored more runs though so I guess he did justify his batting selection even if (as a batsman) he was a comparative failure.

    Clarke and Smith will need to step up like Bell and Bairstow did, they can't rely on more lower order magic to dig them out of holes for the whole series.
