Yann is 32, prone to injury and out of contract in the summer. He is a mid champ player at best. He isn't the future. 1 million would be crazy good business. Even 400k seems fair given that he can walk in the summer. It may be time to have a little faith in RD. His vision seems to be working at standard liege. He was left with a relegation level team. I'm sure he new this when he bought us. I have faith in his vision. I expect the players we bring in to allow us to survive. Most of the squad will be gone by next year and replaced by better. I expect us to be playing better football and challenging for promotion next year.
I am just about mad enough to believe this. Except that I am not sure that RD would consider it the end of the world if we were relegated. He wants to build a young team to be successful in the long term and that does not come about by overpaying old, average players just because they are the best that a team in the relegation zone has.

Left back is a position which can be filled or catered for in an alternative manner which isn't likely to be the main factor between staying up/going down.

Whilst I usually agree with you, we currently have one very decent striker and two not so good ones. Without strengthening this is suicide.
Rhoys has a better and bigger future in the game than Yann though Tom

Not much to add - I would be gutted to see Yann go too, but maybe half a mill is good business if, and only if, it is then used to buy replacements (one, two, or three?) of sufficient quality to score goals and give the club a chance to stay in this league? Everyone is having a go at RD, but is it him making these calls? It could be RM (or even KM) along with SCP who needs this sales option in order to get better?

Agreed but the striker coming in is quite likely going to be the iranian, the striker everyone thought we needed to play WITH Kermogant, not instead of him.
I said it the other day I had a slight feeling of annoyance that Yann wouldn't commit because he wanted assurances on Powell, I understood it but at the end of the day CAFC is you and I and every other fan and I found it disrespectful, the fact he was offered from what I was told a good contract , (not what he was promised by TJ and MS but that's a different story) I think it showed that maybe he has had enough at cafc
