You'd have thought when they built these things they would have considered the possibility of a bit of rain.
We are in England you know...
Delay costing me money now.. starting to get beyond ridiculous...
It's alright though, because they'll reimburse you 20p for the inconvenience
As if. On a year long ticket you only get reimbursed of they miss their late targets for the whole rail network over the year. And that's easy to fix. They just cancel trains so they don't run late. Never get any money back.
I don't think it works like that Canters. They can't dodge delay repay by cancelling the train. If, say, your advertised train was due to arrive at it's destination at 8.30, but the next available train actually got you there at 9.30, you claim an hour.
The delay repay is pretty shoddy mind, designed to put you off. Scanning your ticket in and enetering all the rest of your journey details to prove you're not a lying ba$tard like them and bingo, in about six weeks you'll get a voucher for about £2; which again you have to fill in your details on the back of it to get the money off of your next overpriced ticket. We should all do it though, as collectively it must add up to a few quid and if we don't they'll think we're not that fussed about it anyway.
It's 9.44, I'm currently on the 8.09 from Sidcup which has made it in that time to 'near Lewisham'. Cannon St now closed so will be diverted to Charing X when we do eventually move and tube back from there. If I get in for 11 I'll be surprised
Can someone do me a favour and tweet southeastern to ask in there's any danger of a train from Hither Green Kent bound on the sidcup line anytime soon?
The fellas here can't even tell me if one has left London yet, but someone must know!
On the 0908 from dartford to Victoria which still hasn't arrived and its 1059! Mind you it only stopped at lewisham and I was the only person in the carriage from dartford to lewisham. Bliss. Now I'm stuck outside Victoria with a screaming sprog and a wanker tapping the back of my seat and making a loud self important phone call. Would have stayed at home to work but sky broadband is fucked too. Happy days. Getting home will be a laugh as its supposed to piss down again later. Ho hum. Roland out!!

Heroic effort to make it for the afternoon thwarted. Signal failure at Charlton.terminated. all off. "speak to platform staff for advice on your journey". Except there are none and the station ticket office is closed. Lucky to get something back to north kent. More rain due and they are not recovering. Good luck later folks.
Having taken 2.5 hours to get in I looked at the weather forecast and the live train updates and decided to head for the hills. Been at Charing Cross for half an hour and nothing has left. And not a single announcement. Customer service my arse. Dartford train just been announced. God help anyone going home in the rush hour.
Cannon Street shut so I left work early and went to Charing Cross. Mass cancellations there. Station staff clueless, departure boards not reflecting the services that are running. Taken 30 minutes to get from Charing Cross to somewhere between Waterloo East and London Bridge. On a train that will get me halfway home.

On way to Leeds for a client meet at the moment. Left myself 2.5 hours to get to Kings X from Woolwich Arsenal...just as well I did.
A half empty Virgin train is much appreciated after the Tenko conditions on the DLR & Northern Line this morning!
i.e. Shout BUNDLE over the radio and just go for it!!
