I'm still fuming about this. I get the weather js beyond control but seriously they knew that all the major London stations were either closed or partially closed from about 5 this morning. Why didn't they tell us before we got on the train. Could have saved me about 4 hours of hassle today. Also less people squashed on these crowded (shortened) cattle trucks (trains) means less agro for them to deal with and less angry animals (passengers).
As it is I'm gonnaI'm gonna be working till ten to get my submission done. Bloody joke.

Never mind Canters only another 45 years to go
That's the worst thing. First year of my working life. How am I on a do this till I am 65?
So southeastern replied on twitter... their excuse for not announcing it at stations is that it was on their twitter and website all day.
Well hello if I am on a platform and all the boards say all the trains are on time why would I have reason to check the website or twitter?
Cretins.
About 6 months ago I asked one of the cretins (good description by the way) at Lewisham station if there was engineering work on the Sidcup line that weekend. He said he didn't know and that I should look on the Southeastern website.
Cheers mate, I'll do your fucking job for you shall I??
Home now, just over 4 and a half hours. Must say the staff on platforms, driver and conducter kept everyone informed and was quite impressed actually. Special thanks to the driver of the 18.59 from Victoria who volunteered to run a special to Maidstone. Made it by a minute. Phew! Thanks mate

The classic 'I don't give a shit about my job and I can't be arsed to take in that extra bit of information' response.

You need to find yourself a train disruption drinking buddy.
Still in the Beehive, not sure my wife will believe the trains are this delayed.
Still here, might have some explaining to do.
As soon as you walk through the door walk into the kitchen and look at the sink and say "good all of the washing up is done" then run your finger along the worktop and look at it shaking your head. Before she has the chance to say anything slap her on the backside and tell her to get upstairs!!!

Maybe not.
I find it hilarious how many people read on here at 3pm that trains are screwed and wonder "Will AFKA and Dave Mehmet get pissed going home tonight"
You'll be pleased to know we both approach this seriously and happily embrace it with the dedication it deserves. Hic
