Dunno what all the fuss is about. Yes, you get home an hour and a half late, having been stuck on a (not very) mobile oven for an hour and a half, but you get around £2.50 compensation and a pre-recorded apology (repeated several times). What's the problem?
Just seen a picture of all the trains on the network posted by a train driver for Southeastern. Good news is the networks moving again, bad news is they reckon 1-2 hour delays for the rest of the evening with short notice cancellations to clear some of the back log.
The Southeastern website is currently showing no problems for Bexleyheath line services from Cannon St. I would bet almost anything that this will not in fact be the case when I get to Cannon St in just under an hour.
I had a nice spot of luck. Being told of the mess at London Bridge I left work early a caught the tube to Victoria. The 15:32 to Dover had been diverted from Charing Cross to Victoria, first stop fast to Orpington. Got home an hour earlier than normal. Nice one South Eastern.
Again?! These c#%ts are seriously taking the piss now. Well they were already, but now they're doing it a bit more.
When is someone in a position of power going to actually come out and take some action?! Disgraceful.
What action do you want them too take? Who do you want to take action?? Genuine questions!
The network is 100 years old, with capacity at if not 100% then very near damn it. Signals, cables and basically all the infrastructure falling to bits. The government cutting its money too the companies running them. The two main companies Network Rail and (Southeastern for here) fighting over who is too blame. The companies more worried about shareholders than passengers, so passengers pay the shortfall with fare increases.
It is never going to improve unless we build new railway lines like HS1 but for commuter lines, but that will never happen because who wants a new railway line runningat the back of the garden?
Get to Victoria which was advised to do by se Twitter and cancelled!!, I don't know what's worse getting a south eastern train or going to a pool party round Michael Barrymores.
Got relatively lucky for a change. Worked Late unaware there was carnage. Got the slightly delayed 1923 gravesend train and I'm now nearing Bexley at 2008. Owed me a stroke of luck this week. On leave for the next three days. Good luck peeps.
To whoever reduced all the Cannon Street trains to 6 carriages just because they are not stopping at London Bridge, or for whatever shit reason they have come up with...
There is a special place in hell for you. Where the heater is always on.
To top it off, some twat got out a Tuna sandwich in 33 degree heat... I hate fish and it filled the whole carriage,

How did that Hayes one slip through. Driver off on holiday?
Nice one South Eastern.
... ram-packed, windows all bolted shut with no air-conditioning on the hottest day of the year, #niceoneSoutheastern

Luck rather than judgement it seems.
