  • Just seen a picture of all the trains on the network posted by a train driver for Southeastern. Good news is the networks moving again, bad news is they reckon 1-2 hour delays for the rest of the evening with short notice cancellations to clear some of the back log.
  • The Southeastern website is currently showing no problems for Bexleyheath line services from Cannon St. I would bet almost anything that this will not in fact be the case when I get to Cannon St in just under an hour.
  • Cannon Street is ok. The rest of it is carnage.
  • On Cannon St train to Dartford and it is pretty empty! Result!
  • I had a nice spot of luck. Being told of the mess at London Bridge I left work early a caught the tube to Victoria. The 15:32 to Dover had been diverted from Charing Cross to Victoria, first stop fast to Orpington. Got home an hour earlier than normal.
    Nice one South Eastern.
  • 5:40 and 5:52 to sidcup both cancelled. They are telling people to go to Victoria, not much help if you want the sidcup line though!
  • 5:58 cancelled as well
  • left early, managed to get a train from Cannon Street ....

... ram-packed, windows all bolted shut with no air-conditioning on the hottest day of the year, #niceoneSoutheastern

Again?! These c#%ts are seriously taking the piss now. Well they were already, but now they're doing it a bit more.

When is someone in a position of power going to actually come out and take some action?! Disgraceful.

What action do you want them too take? Who do you want to take action?? Genuine questions!

The network is 100 years old, with capacity at if not 100% then very near damn it. Signals, cables and basically all the infrastructure falling to bits. The government cutting its money too the companies running them. The two main companies Network Rail and (Southeastern for here) fighting over who is too blame. The companies more worried about shareholders than passengers, so passengers pay the shortfall with fare increases.

It is never going to improve unless we build new railway lines like HS1 but for commuter lines, but that will never happen because who wants a new railway line runningat the back of the garden?
  • Diabolical tonight and so predictable for one of the hottest days of the year.
  • South Eastern and Network Rail - Not fit for purpose
  • Can you do that delay repay thing if paying by debit card tap in?

There's an algorithm that should refund you

Get to Victoria which was advised to do by se Twitter and cancelled!!, I don't know what's worse getting a south eastern train or going to a pool party round Michael Barrymores.
  • Left charing x went to cannon st. Platform was even busier but after about a 30 minute wait a sidcup train pulled into the platform
  • Walked to London Bridge, straight up an escalator and onto a train with a seat en route to Dartford.

Luck rather than judgement it seems.

  • Reading all these gritty train stories is like 50 shades of grey for a Charlton fan. Filthy stuff.

    Gay!
  • Not only is my train from Victoria ram-packed, late and sweltering, but a ten year-old from 1998 is posting to CL
  • Got relatively lucky for a change. Worked Late unaware there was carnage. Got the slightly delayed 1923 gravesend train and I'm now nearing Bexley at 2008. Owed me a stroke of luck this week. On leave for the next three days. Good luck peeps.
  • Absolute sweat box today....and for the rest of the week.
  • Yeah not sure who's brainwave it was to reduce the carriages an cannon st trains in the evening yet increase them in the mornings !?!?
  • Lovely, how considerate. This is nonsense, got home from work in Cardiff quicker. Mantra in my head, "off next week, off next week..."
  • Margeret Thatcher has left this country in a severe mess.

Completely agree, which is why every politician since Thatcher has done their best to reverse what she did to this country.... Oh wait...
