  • Why doesn't Roland just buy Tours?

I made that joke on this thread last week and got 12 lol's and 1 like. Let's see how you get on with it...
As it stands you're neck and neck... But somehow he's picked up a flag in the process...

  • Surely if another club was going to come in with more money, it would have happened already. Tours/his agent have been hawking his name about and linking it with anyone to generate interest, but from the sounds of it, we've been the only one to offer as much as we have. Any clubs who would be waiting to offer more are risking Tours lowering their demands and the move to us going ahead.

I think he'll probably leave for the money we're offering later in the window when Tours get more desperate and realise that there are no alternative, but whether it will be to us will depend on whether we decide to pursue other targets instead or not.
  • Tours NEED to sell Delort, they have to. They don't care who to, they're just trying to maximise the fee. We'll go away and look at other targets until they eventually come back to us by the end of the month OR Delort signs for another club who stumped up the amount of cash that the Tours president wants (imo the latter is unlikely).
  • Has Borges fallen through now then?

I gave it a LOL , but having thought about it ,given the amount of French players who both Charlton and Standard acquire then a French club would be the next logical extension of the network and if Tours is bankrupt then maybe it is a possibility.

We need somewhere to loan Loic Nego.
Well he beat me, currently on 2 likes and 14 lol's. It's just a big popularity contest with you lot!
  • Noticed on Sky Sports Transfer Centre that Hull City Midfielder: Stephen Quinn is being linked with several Championship clubs.

We probably wont be one of them as cant see him being the type of player that RD wants to sign but he'd be the perfect No.8 Play maker type player that we as fans would like to see at the Valley
  • Has Borges fallen through now then?

I don't think it was ever definitely on .

In today's SLP his agent is quoted as refusing to talk about specific clubs saying England is an 'option'. Last night on Twitter someone reported the same man as saying Borges won't play in the CCC . I think this is another agent playing games.
  • The Toures president is playing a very dangerous game. Four to five million Euros is a ridiculous amount of money for an untried striker in the second division of French football. Anybody who pays Tours that sort of money wants their head testing. I would be happy to get SEB on a free providing he is fit. We should also turn our attentions to Baldock.

I hope by this you don't mean the Coca Cola Championship
its been Skybet for a couple of years now
No. County Cricket Championship. Of which he won't be, I'm sure...
  • " set to fall through" ---------------its been dragging on for weeks so they are hardly sticking their necks out there are they.
  • This content has been removed.
  • This Delort situation is starting to worry me. 4 million is just crazy for us to be even considering on a striker who has had one good year. I like that we are spending in the transfer market but we all know what happened the last couple of times we overspent on players. I don't want a situation where RD is putting his resources in this years transfer market, then we don't live up to expectations and ultimately not receive any further financial investment after this year. Premier league or bust is not the way to run this club. If we have transfer funds left, let's pursue a good attacking midfielder and then turn our attention to a loan for a striker. I would assume a few will be available for loan once the PL teams finalize their rosters.

Exclusive: Ettori claims 1 million more, Delort Tours wants to play with!

    Published August 11, 2014, 6:00 am

According to our information, the transfer 's Andy Delort (22 years) is not on track. The attacker has actually agreed with the club Charlton but the Touraine president is not at all satisfied by an offer from the English club in the second division.

Charlton offers 2.8 million euros plus bonuses, while Jean-Marc Ettori claims 1 million more have we learned from a reliable source.

The English club could therefore decide to drop the case. Today, it is planned that Andy Delort resume training with the group of Olivier Pantaloni . The attacker hopes to play Tuesday against Dijon in League Cup or next Friday against Valenciennes, tired of waiting.

The best tourangeau scorer last season (24 goals) will have to convince her against a chair. Indeed, it is afraid that his attacker is injured and he does not want to see him play in the jersey of Tours FC.

Also according to our information, Jean-Marc Ettori planned sale of up to € 3 million from the DNCG. He is committed to the financial policeman to sell striker at this price point before the end of the transfer window.
  • verbal attack Colin?
  • Who blinks first. Unfortunately I don't think we can afford to wait around for him.
  • If Delort is kicking up a fuss with their president, expect the transfer to go through by the end of the week

After Andy Delort, the Tours FC on sale?

    Published August 12, 2014, 6:00 am

As explained on our blog yesterday, Jean-Marc Ettori planned sale 's Andy Delort up to € 3 million from the DNCG. The Touraine president can not sell striker below this amount, otherwise they will have to fill the rest with his own money.

If Charlton striker Touraine and always want the transfer to be made, however, waive the English club to offer more than € 2.8 million. Reportedly, the president of TFC will meet soon with his counterpart from Charlton to discuss the case but also Delort possible sale of Tours Football Club. An appointment is already scheduled.

The owner of the English club is a Roland Duchâtelet , politician in Belgium. This Belgian millionaire is also chairman of Standard Liege club owner Madrid Alcorcon in the Spanish second division, as well as FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the German division 4. After attending FC Ujpest, he left the Presidency of the Hungarian club to his son. But before joining Standard Liege there is little, the Belgian politician was also chairman of Sint-Truiden. Knowing that it is impossible to chair two clubs playing in the same division, it was then named his wife as the owner. Finally, a rumor recently reported a millionaire interest for AS Bari, Italian second division club in financial difficulties.

One that Powell was after the summer after we were promoted.
  • There's going to be interest in Tours' cup game tonight than ours.

Yes he was I believe .

Clutching at straws .Powell's Chief Scout Phil Chapple is still at the club and Katrien has said that his opinion along with the network scouts is sought about purchases and that we only sign a player when both are positive . So lets hope Phil puts Quinn's name forward.

Am I reading that wrong or does it say Sale of Tours Football Club?
  • That's how I read it too! The clubs in debt. It's a good country to expand the empire into. Makes sense to me.
