    Stay classy.
  • Lot of worrying stuff going down here - no point being negative about a guy who has not arrived at the club as yet - but all the signs suggest RD can't take any form of dissent - good bosses in any business welcome it - that's why i liked Riga despite being a hundred per cent behind Chris Powell - he came in, looked at the situation and picked his own team - not RD's face saving X1. There are already huge jokes going around Millwall about Bob the Builder and the fact he can't fix this mess. I hope they are horribly wrong but the guy's not going to set the division on fire next season. Just hope we stay up and play attractive football in doing so. Think we would have done that under Riga so why get rid of him unless he walked voluntarily and maybe that's a different story. And Riga might have kept Poyet! If his father thinks Sunderland is a basket case, god knows what he's thinking right now.
Anyway wishing Bob all the best, and hope i have 23 games to see him next season. Anything else will be four managers in a year and that's a total mess.
  • You cannae come on CL and tell us to support chelsea.

    Well played VFF.
  • Di canio to be charlton manager all over twitter at the moment
  • In his defence I think byl was making a light hearted comment because of the mass of negative feeling on here. Perhaps we are a little be over sensitive when our support and commitment is questioned when to an outsider we are not not sounding particularly supportive.

I remember reading gazillions of posts last season when Millwall fans were crucifying Lomas with many a smug comment made on CL about how they were not giving the manager a chance. Yes we enjoyed it but perhaps we can't take it when the self same attitude is being attributed to ourselves.

    Just an observation.

How did that 'Lomas' thing turn out? ;)

    Totally cogent.

But I can also excuse Vff ... i mean chelsea? Ffs!
  • None of us knew anything about Peeters. Byl came on told us lots about him, but he was slagged off because he used to play for Millwall. Perhaps byl didn't understand our humour. Admittedly he made a poor joke about supporting Chelsea or Manu, but that was no reason to tear into him.
  • Peeters first language is Flemish, and he is left handed.
  • Richard Cawley ‏@RichCawleySLP 1m
Latest from Belgium is that Patrick Van Houdt - assistant coach at KV Mechelen - is on his way to #cafc to take up the same role.

It was a bit rose tinted though and it has been pointed out that Peeter's record wasn't quite as good as he was stating. For me, he manages a League 2 level club - 3k supporters - that's about right isn't it.

I put that on here first thing this morning . Still confused with this hole manager thing , just want something confirmed now who ever it's going to be.

    Assistant to?
  • I did ask byl for his thoughts on Patrick Van Houdt but I doubt we will hear now. I wonder why ?
  • surely it must be a assistant to peeters? .. defo rules out di canio

although Cawley is good .. hes not always 100% accurate

Totally original and innovative rumour from RC turns out to be true then I really have seen it all.

Latest from Belgium - RC currently camped at Brussels airport cross-referencing any Belgian male not carrying duty free chocolates whilst boarding.

Ah...im awful. Honestly, I couldnt think of many harder tasks than getting reliable scoops on CAFC.

Byl needs to think twice and be more fecking careful when on another sites and suggesting to support Chelsea or Man utd, particularly after the Greg Dyke bullsh!t. Totally fecking justified. I don't find it lighthearted.

When Yann897 has a go and criticises what I am saying, then I may disagree but Yann, is a passionate about the club and thats ok. Yann has never stooped to that level. Any football supporter should know better.

He would probably have told us that the sun shines out of his proverbial and to go and support Palace anyway.

    Oh get over it. ;0)

I'll accept an apology and leave it at that.
  • If we have appointed a Belgian Asst then that rules out Di Canio, thank Gawd, so Peeters or the u-21 bloke it seems. Either way they get my full support.
