This will be a good test case for RDs judgement then. Peeters/Riga at two of last seasons relegation candidates, both with about 6 or 7 senior players on their books and their best players leaving.
All the best Jose, sadly (for us) I think you'll finish higher than us next year and probably be in the job longer than big Bob. Just an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach that this will come back to bite us.
I was very upset he isn't going to be with us. However, there is no way he would even have been considered for Blackpool or any other Championship job had he not had the two month spell in charge of the Addicks , so in some ways it has turned out well for him.
Bit of a basket case of a club that I don't think has fallen as far as it will yet. I've never been at a stadium for the last match of the season where your club has just survived relegation where the fans were so seemingly despondent and the players not even bothering to come out after the game to applaud the fans. Mind you. The fans had mostly departed by then anyway. Good luck Jose.
What a shame that we have to hope the bloke fails and Blackpool fill one of the bottom three places. I wanted Jose to stay with us but now he's managing a direct competitor and I think Blackpool will be a bottom third club just like us. I can't say I want him to do well.
I should add, im not hoping he fails, it would just be a shame for him to lose the sudden reputation he has built in English football by snatching the first job offered to him.
