I really hope soHenry Irving said:Pleased in that now I can go back to wishing only bad things for Blackpool under their current owner.
I wonder what the future holds for Riga now? Head of the Charlton Academy perhaps.0 -
I suspect the Oystons know exactly what they're doing.Oggy Red said:Basket case of a club owned by a man who gives the impression of being out of touch with the realities of operating competively and professionally in the Championship.
Good luck, Jose ...... you're a decent manager, but Blackpool need someone who can constantly perform miracles.0 -
I suspect that whatever they're doing, it is in their best interests and certainly not those of the club or its' fans!gilbertfilbert said:

Good luck Jose. You deserved a lot better, but Head of Academy is a great shout.1 -
I thought Steve Avory was in charge of our AcademyTelMc32 said:

Although I'd be very happy to see Jose back at Charlton in some capacity, I can't see it happening.TelMc32 said:

It would be extremely harsh on Steve Avory who everyone ITK knows, he's been the Academy's inspirational leader for some time.

So what's the problem with Steve Avory?Lazy_eye_metaphor said:

Alright maybe a strong reply - Jose has earned his place in CAFC history and it would be great if a position could be found for him without sacking or demoting a current quality staff member!
Now that sounds far more 'appropriate'! ;-)2 -

Are you sure, colin ?colin1961 said:The problem as I said many months ago is his family will never settle in England....that's why he could not commit to us and now he run back home to be with his family in Belgium, shame because he was offered a place in our academy set up.
Where does that info come from ?
I believe this piece of "news" is no way correct.

He is not faultless, it would not have taken a lot of research to find out that Blackpool is a basket case. I feel sorry for Jose, supported him from the day he walked into Sparrows Lane, but he should never have entertained this job.queensland_addick said:Shame his record and reputation are likely to have been badly tarnished through no fault of his own. I still think he is an excellent manager, but would be surprised if he returns quickly to the English game, if ever. I was looking forward to having the chance to show my appreciation to him in the home fixture in December, but that will no longer happen.

Sorry for Jose and hope something sorts itself out for him but Steve Avory is doing a top job and has for a number of years been a huge influence on the academy .4

Jose deserves far better and I hope he finds it. All good wishes from me.1

Better off out of that nuthouse Jose.1

How the hell does Riga wanting to stay on with us (he and KM confirm) but RD not wanting him (He, KM and RD confirm), then him happily accepting another job in England with a basket case of a club because he wanted to stay here (he says), turn into he couldn't commit, his family don't wanna know and he's now run back home?
Actually I've just noticed who wrote it.

So he couldn't settle here but Blackpool was fine?colin1961 said:The problem as I said many months ago is his family will never settle in England....that's why he could not commit to us and now he run back home to be with his family in Belgium, shame because he was offered a place in our academy set up.
Things must have really changed whilst I've been away, I thought London was closer to Belgium than Blackpool.3 -
Reading through this, I came to the assumption that he's left Blackpool. However, I can't seem to find any confirmation on this (although I've only looked on the BBC sport page).............0

We don't know how or why he was persuaded to take the job. None of us has seen a transcript of his job interview. Jose is a decent honest man, I suspect he took what was presented to him at face value. Crooks are very good liars.Kap10 said:

I heard that even when they did supply food he was expected to pick his own fork up to eat his dinner. Proper liberty that.J BLOCK said:
