Never watched "Last of the Summer Wine" , canters ?
Nope I'm afraid I'm below 50 so never seen it...
Ok, so you've missed the over 60's pin up girl with the saggy stockings , aka Nora Batty.
Gotcha thanks for filling me in!! Well done to Kent! Although I would like to point out you're not the only team to play homegrown and young players...
A one yesterdays T20 game was called off due to rain.. I can't help thinking it's probably a good thing.. I'm happy with a share of the points!
Roy was with England, Davies injured and sanga returning to Sri Lanka. On top of no KP we were gonna be short of firepower! 17 yr old Sam Curran (younger brother of Tom) an all rounder had his first senior team call up..
Tomorrow's game looks good and KP is available so that's a bonus.. looks like we will get a look at burns in the T20 which will be interesting to see if he can adapt..
I can't help feeling we are putting the T20 competition in second place and concentrating on going full out on promotion... I fully agree with this! There is however one problem.. I can't see us catching lancs in first place so we will be stuck with second place and if the rumoured changes to the county system take place with three tiers each with 7 teams then second place may well mean we stay at the top of the second division which will be a disappointment..
Thanks to Surrey for hosting the U11 and U12 games at The Oval yesterday. Everything about the day was as if it were a First Class fixture with the boys using the home and away fixtures respectively, stewards on duty, full scoreboard updated every ball etc etc.
Kent scored 143-7 off 40 overs and sadly for us Surrey reached our total for the loss of six wickets with five overs in hand. Surrey have some talented players not least of which is, in the U12s, an opening bowler by the name of Nathan Barnwell who is probably as quick as anyone on the County circuit. Seb saw him off though ;-)
Do Surrey have a championship game today and are missing a lot of key players...
Sanga has left for Sri Lanka. KP is off to the cpl. Roy is with England. Davies is injured. And burns and Henriques both injured yesterday. Dernbach is still recovering from his injury! So a threadbare squad particularly in the batting line up..
So a championship debut for Kapil! Also a first game this season in this competition for Harinath and Solanki! Dunn is being rested rightfully so, meaning Meaker comes in. Burke who looked good on debut misses out on favour of Batty as it's a spinning track! And Kapil is preferred ahead of him as he is more of a batsman! Need to keep winning to keep that promotion push going!!

Glad your boy had a good day! Good of the counties to do this for the kids!!

And even Nora couldn't save you tonight.

Surrey's T20 Blast game against Sussex was abandoned after Rory Burns and Moises Henriques collided on the field and were taken to hospital.
Surrey's Burns, 24, and Henriques, 28, needed on-pitch treatment at Arundel after trying to take a catch.
After a long delay, it was announced at the ground that they were conscious.
Surrey later tweeted Henriques was awaiting the results of an X-Ray on his jaw and Burns was talking to staff while waiting to see a specialist.
I think you are right to feel sorry for me for supporting Sussex this season, @cantersaddick. I can see us playing in Division 2 next season.
