  • Appears to be a good signing looking forward too seeing the other players that we will be getting in.
    The only way is up!
  • Reams on ITTV recons he's the nearest we will ever get to a mark kinsella again , so if he's even half as good as kins then I'm happy!
  • Poyet replacement. Bit of experience added too. Is it a one year permanent or a loan I wonder? Knowing our luck he'll have a great season and walk away on a free in the summer.
  • Welcome Yoni. Hope you are a step up in Ex-Liege player
  • Sounds like a good player but as ever will judge him on what he does for us.
  • I can only go by the blokes experience but 93 appearances for SL in 3 years......this guy excites me.
  • Don't know much about him was he a regular for Liege?
  • Looks like being a busy week next week for new signings . Just hope that some of our boys sign as well.

Not necessarily a replacement for Poyet. We need some more bodies in midfield. With Green, Pritchard. Gower, Hollands, Cook,Adjeravic all leaving. It has left us a bit light in midfield.

  • valley sandpit looks good behind him
  • I suspect it will be a year long loan - his contract with Liege is shown as being until 2016. Equally he has either worked with or played alongside Peeters before and Peeters is on a one year rolling contract so if he is able to acclimatise to Championship football and it all works well who knows what the future may hold
  • It is a year long loan, standard fans expect him to return after that year. Definitely looks like poyet is off now. What a shame

I don't think Poyet will sign but not sure how this signing has anything to do with that, you need more then one player for each postion in the squad.

Fails the Charlton Life height test then.

Probably wants to see how it goes. A one year deal will make him play for a new one I think

Or put him the shop window, which I think is more likely
Wouldn't work well for us. As we'd lose out on a fee..
  • Still about another 4 to be confirmed in the coming days.. and I wouldn't say this guy is a Poyet replacement.

    Beginning to feel very optimistic

  • Making quality signings (if this bloke is quality) may encourage Poyet and Morrison to stay.

  • At least he's a definite signing. Looking forward to seeing how good he is.

Do you think Poyet is staying?
  • So that's the Belgian .What about a Moroccan?

Seriously though ,I think it could be an excellent signing. Crucially for me , he has a direct personal connection with Peeters. Would prefer it to be a permanent .We might need to have some Liege loans in the January window.
  • Good move. I've seen him playing several times with Sl. Not the most creative player but always gives 100%. I think the championship will suit him well
  • more importantly, that appears to be grass behind him
  • where is the video?
  • I will let you know tomorrow if there is grass on the Valley pitch tomorrow as I am there in the afternoon for my sons football presentation and I need to hand in my employment papers for next season !
  • It looks a bit like The Valley with fans.

PS You've got to love Yoni, haven't you ?
