  • Bit presumptious stating he's signed aren't we!

I would imagine terms are already agreed, but he still has the matter of a medical!
  • FC Copenhagen nickname LIONS
  • It's unusual to see an article on the OS when all that's happened is a fee being agreed.

Copenhagen posting it on twitter and their website might have forced CAFC's hand?

He seems keen enough and with his link to Bob, I expect it to go through.

The whole of 2012-2014 is missing on there!
  • He is a decent player. I think he was FCK's leading scorer last season. The Danish Superliga is not that good though so I wouldn't read to much into it!

Still, its nice to be able to say we have signed someone.

I'll keep an eye out for the Danish press to see how they are reporting the move and post more here later.

About time we signed an Igor. Welcome Igor the first

"Thank you, Master". Shuffles off to fiddle with cadavers and electrical equipment.
  • Looks an OK and appropriate kinda signing. The pudding the proof is in.
  • Cynic in me says his was only released to butter us up before the news of Poyet/Morrisson leaving! As this normally wouldn't be released until personal terms agreed!

  • Do we finally have a superstar on our hands?

And will he be an upgrade on Church, Reza and Polish Pete?
  • Well, it's a start! Decent enough credentials I suppose and a goal scoring record. Quite excited about this. Still really think we need to sign players who know the championship and some english players to ensure that the bond between the players is still as strong
  • Well, regardless of how good he turns out to be for us we're not going into the season with one senior striker at the moment and that's already an improvement on last season
  • "never gives up" is good, we've had too many young, pacy strikers who've gone missing when things arent going their way
  • Boooo
  • Know him well.

    Especially from 3.46
  • Standard Liege tried to sign him in January
  • Vetokele, Parszyczek, Ghocchannejhad and Church, just need a lump (O'Grady) and that'll be the strikers.

Harriott, Wilson, Cousins, Jackson midfield, need 3/4 more, ideally a creative midfielder, a utility winger who is left Footed, a box to box player and a midfield general.

Wiggins, Solly, Wood all fine, but we desperately need another 3 centre backs, Nego and Fox good enough back up at full back

Pope, we need a more experienced head to compete with our talented but young keeper.

Overall I'd say we need another 8 players

I agree with the 8 players. Though I would say:

    1 x big lump striker
2 x CB as opposed to 3 (I would take Gomez or Lennon as 4th choice)
    1 x experienced gk
    3 x CM
    1 x winger

"Belgian Igor Vetokele to Charlton Athletic. Surprising. In January an official bid from Standard was still turned away by FC Copenhagen."

Nice - we're more appealing than a champions league club!

    Not Us. Bob Peeters.
  • Small, quick and a box striker. Seems like the upgrade of Sordell.

    So about league one standard
  • looks OK but Reza was very highly rated and couldn't cope with English football. After the January transfer window I think we should reserve our judgement until we have seen him play!
  • Welcome, Igor.
Now all we need is Christian Bolanos to put the crosses in for him -he's at Copenhagen, isn't he?

Only a fee agreed. No doubt he'll fail his medical/not agree personal terms.
