Ridiculous stagecraft for his age. Flicking between him and, at the other end of the scale, Bryan Ferry at the moment.

Me too. (I don't like Metallica - too heavy for me).

Yeah, not my sort of thing at all.

That is one rascal jacket Bryan is sporting tonight innit! Forget sometimes what a great back catalogue he has to call on too.

Kasabian tonight, anyone a fan? I've seen them twice and they are a great live band. 'Eez-eh' the first release from their new album is terrible but 'Bumblebee' is a banger. One of their best to date. They're real crowd pleasers and with five decent albums under their belt I think they will top AM last year.

Loved seeing Metallica last night. Historic moment for any metal fan to see a band like them headline.

Incredible musicianship between the four of them.

Metallica tore Glastonbury a new a-hole. Shame the BBC cut their usual Ecstasy of Gold intro though.

Thought Metallica were fantastic - great to hear Whisky in the Jar as well. Didn't expect them to be that good.
  • Options
    Yep, Metallica were mint.

for all those new to the amayzingggg arctic firebreathers from montreal, and to all those who were on them early, do check out "the first time with win butler" on radio 6 this week - he is soooo great, talking about their punk ethos, (yes, yes, they are a big band, but i sense true to their roots), name checking the unicorns, the cure's majesty, early genesis, the wondrous pop shimmer that is new order, and especially dear to my heart, he speaks with passion and joy re the astonishing country, people, music, total vibe that is ayiti!!!! (thats the way they pronounce and spell it in the countryside) - he's married to regina from the island - me n the luvlucy have just returned from living in a vegan permaculture community in ayiti - everyone, go and soak haiti/ayiti up, as win butler says, one of the last magical places left on this increasingly homogenized planet.

You surprise me. I was flicking between the football & Dolly & I never saw her miming. (Not saying she didn't).

At least 3 times her vocals carried on whilst her mouth waa shut and she was nowhere near the mic!

She was doing a cracking Keith Harris impression if she wasn't miming!

Surely they don't allow miming at Glasto?

They are decent, but I prefer the other "club". 2 Door Cinema Club. Mind you, I always struggle to remember who is who :-)

Is it a not particularly good line-up this year?
Seems like most of the bands playing seem to be B-listers.
