  • Perfect really. Now to score at a decent rate but don't do anything stupid.
  • We've probably got about 46 overs to face before tea. So we need to bat like it's a 50 over game, scoring at about 5 an over.
239 lead plus 230 would give a 469 lead and a declaration at tea.
  • Eng 80-2 - Gary Ballance out of last ball before Lunch - didnt hit it - again, just like first innings.
  • 80-2 at lunch

Ballance given out caught off Jadeja, when once again he was nowhere near it. 2nd time in the game.

    England lead by 319.
  • 106-3

    Bell B Jadeja
  • 141-3
    Cook 51 no
  • 161/3
Lead of 400, no declaration yet.
  • 194-3
    Root 51 n/o from 38 balls

    205-4 decalred

    Root b Jadeja 56
    Cook 70 no

India need a world record 445 to win. I was close :-)

  • Lead of 435, where is the declaration?

You must have some sort of time delay :-)
  • i think thats a pretty generous declaration ...good positive captaincy though

Possibly, but it's never been done before. They will break the world record if they achieve 445.

yes i know but we have no genuine top class spinner and i remember when we got sehwagged a few years back !

  • 26-1

Vijay run out by Broad :-)
  • Great bit of fielding.

    29-2

    Pujara c Jordan b Moeen Ali 2

I have to say, Moeen Ali seems to be picking up plenty of wickets, as a "part timer". I can't wait until he becomes a full timer. He'll make Swann look like a novice.
  • Wow!! Doing a Swann with a wicket in his first over. Cracking spin bowling Moeen Ali, Jordan's a great slip fielder too.
  • England have this in the bag now.

Also, I'm man enough to admit Cook's captaincy has been very positive in this match. Fair play to him

Whoever said you needed a specialist spinner in your Test squad? :-)

Moeen has Dhawan trapped in front of the stumps... not given and can't review with DRS. India should be three down.

    :-(

Yep, and not even close - hitting half way up mddle stump - a total plumb LBW.
  • Moeen does have that ability to get wickets, I guess it helps that the Indian batsmen think they can attack him, and end up taking chances that they wouldn't against say Anderson or Broad

Well, not quite excellent !! - he has been very good, but his field placings still leave a lot to be desired - and its common sense stuff .
