Ease of victory by Win My Wings prompts a sharp cut to 20s for the GN odds for Eclair Surf, narrowly beaten by her in the Eider. The form of his Warwick Classic win had already been franked by the impressive winner and 2nd in the Ultima.
Still not guaranteed a run and was scratched from the race today because the ground was thought too quick. If he does make the line up and the ground's soft, he certainly has the stats to be in the mix.
paul nicholls yet again saves the bookies - if i owned bravemansgame id send it to another trainer hes had it in 2 graded races - 1 he pulled out on the day because of conditions 0 excuses today as it goes well fresh and its been solidly beaten it was never going to stay the distance. people wonder why the irish dominate at cheltenham its because of this sort of nonsense.

Don't know about him never staying. Got 3 miles fine at Christmas. To bad to be true so maybe they'll find something amiss with him. PN excuse about leaving the race behind at Cheltenham when he didn't even run is just nonsense
Blimey, I missed this - really sad. She was one tough mare. This is her (3rd at the time, yellow sleeves red cap) going through the middle of The Chair, half way through the 2019 GN. Ok a bad mistake but not many horses would have stood up after doing that, let alone have the guts and stamina to go on and so nearly win the race, 3L behind the Tiger. RIP Magic

She made an absolute mess of the last too which, considering how well she still finished, could have made the difference between winning and finishing second.
That was crazy seeing William Buick smashed in the face by the horses head in the next stall and holding on to the stalls and yet the race still started ! Has to be a rule 4 and punters get their money back on Blue Trail.
Blue trail declared a non runner. That could have been so dangerous for William Buick. They must've done a concussion test afterwards as he looked well groggy.
Did Westover each way so got something back. Desert Crown was impressive but Westover had a stinker of a run and did well to get as close as he did to the winner.
Desert Crown looks a very good horse - Westover was unlucky in running but I would back the winner to confirm the places if they ever meet again (possibly Irish Derby).
Could be some very good races in the summer and would love to see Desert Crown against Emily Upjohn, maybe the King George.

I had a small punt on Westover .. he was well hemmed in except for the final furlong or two and by then it was too late .. perhaps if Khalid Abdullah were still alive Dettori would have had the ride instead of the inexperienced Hornby .. but then the odds would possibly have been far shorter .. Westover, Desert Crown and Emily Upjohn for the Prix de L'Arc ?

Might have to add Vadeni into the mix there, as he just won the Prix de Jockey Club in incredibly impressive fashion.

Edit - oops, wrong thread
Boosted odds too, so got a decent 29/1 for the double.
Grand National is now a freebie. Excellent.
