I take the point that home advantage and Holland's recent form are big things, but we have recent big tournament semi final experience in our team that the other teams don't have. It's going to be exciting whatever happens though glad we have a place at the top table. Plus already this current team has more accomplishments than the so called golden generation.

I'd say that Portugal's is pretty damn recent.
Pretty sure in 2020 more of our world cup 2018 squad will be around than the already aging in 2016 portugal squad but ok fair point..

He was just playing upfront as they chased a game they were never in before they pulled one back. I think you have to question the German defence given that fact. Good finish though,
Every team should have a desperation plan C or D. It won't take a lot of planning, but a good idea that the whole team knows what the plan is when desperation is the order of the day!
