  • Following complaints that the dietary requirements of some supporters are not being adequately recognised, I've heard a rumour that the catering manager has ordered a case of vegetarian cheese and onion crisps.

There's three million reasons why that rules us out.
  • My Rangers mate is absolutely seething over them selling Lewis Macleod to Brentford. I don't know anything about him, but rangers fans were apparently hoping that the team would be moulded around him.
Intrigued to see how he does in championship.

Maybe, but where did the money for Vetokele come from? Or what we were apparently offering for Delort? I don't think it's true to suggest RD won't spend money on fees for what they see as the right players.

Not really, we will clearly spend that(or close enough) sort of money if Roland believes it is a serious asset for us(and the network), Igor did not come cheap.

No idea about if this would be a good signing or not though.
  • 3 million for a Scottish Prem player, dream on.
  • Wigan have cancelled Espinoza's contract
  • I have looked at the You Tube compilation, I know. His build and ability with either foot reminds me of a certain Bournemouth player.

They wouldn't be able to demand 3 million for him, 2 very tops but I'd say 1 million would get him.

Only 22. Looks a good player.
  • We had money for Delort so why not this fella.

They are one of the few clubs in the Scottish Prem who aren't in financial difficulties. Having sold Ryan Gauld and Andrew Robertson for three million each.

Nadir Ciftci: Dundee United would want £3m for striker
    By Jim Spence
    BBC Sport

Dundee United will look for a fee of at least £3m for striker Nadir Ciftci, who has been watched by several clubs. Representatives of Charlton, Huddersfield and Norwich watched the forward face St Johnstone on Saturday. Celtic have also been linked with the Turk and his team-mate Stuart Armstrong, who is also 22.

"It's all speculation at the moment, but we set the bar in summer for sales from this club," said United chairman Stephen Thompson. "We got £3m apiece for [Ryan] Gauld and [Andrew] Robertson so why would we settle for any less for Nadir."

Debt-free United are in no rush to sell either player, nor are they under any financial pressure to do so, with Gauld and Robertson having moved to Sporting Lisbon and Hull City, respectively, in the summer. Thompson added that he had received no bids at this stage for any United players, but that could change once the January transfer window opens.

Ciftci, who has scored eight goals this season, and midfielder Armstrong both have 18 months left on their contracts at Tannadice.

  • This should answer any questions:

The start of this season's January transfer window has been delayed by 24 hours to open on Saturday – so it fits in with FIFA's wish that it only runs for 31 days.
Clubs have been informed that for 2015 the window will open at the weekend rather than on Friday January 2, as would normally be expected.
The reason is that the last day of the month, January 31, falls on a Saturday when there is a full fixture list including the potential title decider between Chelsea and Manchester City.

  • Lucky will always do so well at competing with other clubs when it comes to transfer fees. Let's blow Norwich out of the water!

So Deffo no new signings can play in the FA Cup then? Or can they sign at 00:01 and play at 15:00??

You're probably right but still that won't last long and with only 18 months left on his contract I'd hazard a guess that 3 million is bluffing.

    From FA Website

Clubs around the country are set to splash the cash when football’s very own January sales start this weekend.

The transfer window for teams competing in the Premier League and Football League opens at 00.01 on Saturday.

And if recent years are anything to go by, a flurry of activity can be expected up until the window officially closes at 11pm on Monday 2 February.

The slightly later than usual deadline gives clubs a further hour to finalise paperwork and complete any transfers through FIFA’s TMS transfer system, which authorises players to participate in official matches for their new side.

The FA Cup deadline for clubs to register new players is midday on Friday, meaning new signings will be ineligible for this weekend’s Third Round fixtures.

Due to The FA Cup schedule, there are no Premier League matches taking place this weekend.

Nothing stopping Liege and Watt cancelling the contract by mutual consent based on the promise he will/has signed for charlton
  • Cheers Dansk, what a crap idea that is
  • Nadir Çiftçi would also fit the new model of players with hard-to-pronounce surnames, sign him up :)
  • No-one posted a YouTube link on here yet? That is disgraceful.

It's a sign of the times when Rangers are selling their star youngster to Brentford...

Damn, was going to post that. Also with an unpronounceable name he's probably shit hot ( allegedly )

Sign him up. Looks better than anything we've got, Igor included. If Celtic really want him though then they'll get him.
