I'll support him 100%. IF he becomes manager/head coach then it's not his fault he's been appointed and who knows he might do a decent job. Can't see the need to be negative to the guy personally.
I am more worried about the recruitment policy in terms of players. Expect more network players.
Have you not worked it out yet all our recruited players/coaches come from the same place
I am hopeful as Etheridge, Coquelin, Bikey, Moussa, Vetokele, Gudmundsson, Henderson and even Obika did not come from network clubs.
However, what with Roland's fondness for keeping the management inside the network I highly doubt that he will give Luzon free reign of the transfer market for 2 weeks in January.
Like many on here I do not want Luzon as CAFC manager .. and also as with the majority on here, IF he becomes manager then he and the team will get my support as usual .. 100% from the start and staying so or perhaps diminishing if we lose the next 15 games and are relegated
Without wanting to repeat others, if he is the chosen one he'll get my support. I don't have a problem with the bloke and he deserves a fair crack of the whip.
Clearly he's not the fans preffered choice.
In this case the moment Curbs said he would talk to the club, nostalgia crept in (me included) and the "dream ticket" was a possibility. Howeverin reality it wasn't really going to happen. I think only the appointment of Curbs would have kept everybody (well nearly everybody) happy.
The thing that overshadows Luzon, is the circus type caper that's appears to be going on.

COYR - because that's what's most important.
Freudian slip or hidden meaning ? .. some editing may be called for
cant motivate myself for a guy that fans at his previous club hated, fell out with players and has got a job based on a mate who doesn't know how to run a football club
He'll get 10 games before I judge him properly, less if he's smashing it. Whether he'll get the same courtesy from the cauldron of pessimism that is the Valley at the mo I'm not so sure.
I just want Charlton to succeed. I'm certainly not going to want him to fail, but that doesn't mean i have to be happy at his selection based on what we have heard about him. I hope he comes in and proves me wrong. I'm certainly not excited about the prospect of his appointment though.
That won't change the way I feel about the farcical way that Roland has gone about player and managerial recruitment in the last twelve months and won't change the fact that we've been spun lie upon lie in over the last few days.

I've heard the stories of 'troubles' at Liege gameswhen Guy Luzon was in charge, would Alan Pardew or Ian Dowies appointment as Charlton manager have caused as much fuss, or who would be the British equivalent of Guy Luzon?
no offence intended, but its all predictable, tub-thumping words, that read good on here, but would be said by the same people if virtually anyone was appointed manager.
Those words akthough they read supportive could be said by someone that doesn't even go to games anymore (for whatever reason).
The real 'support measure' will be shown on bums on seats, atmosphere in The Valley, and in a couple of months time, ST renewals. Unless there is a noticeable pick up in results over the next couple of months, that last measure will see a huge fall.
Not my preferred choice if it happens as it seems highly likely now but as others have said was always a strong possibility given RD's modus operandi.
A new boss to impress will give the players the clean slate which some will welcome and give the squad a chance to regroup. Maybe new training methods and tactics to lift the spirits. He'll get my support because he is going to be instrumental in reversing our slump and the fortunes of my beloved club on the pitch.
Not forgetting of course he has worked with at least 4? of these players at Standard and hopefully they'll be comfortable with him and get the other players on board early with his ideaology. The glass is still half full for me at the moment so let's go and get at least a point at Watford. COYRs

Tub thumping? It was clearly a joke reference to previous 100% threads. Were they also tub thumbing because I thought they were genuine messages of support for beleaguered staff.
Yes, I would have said the same about just about any manager. In fact I said that in my post.
Not sure what going to games any more has to do with it either.
You're right that the real measure of success is in points and attendances but that is for the future. If he's not delivering that then I and most of the others will re-assess just as many did with Riga.
I think ST sales will drop regardless. Only a massive upswing in results will halt that as the damage has already been done over the past few years. People with a decision to make want to see progress and ambition. A new pitch and pulled pork are not motivators to renew.
I will support him but believe me it won't take long for that to change if we continue lose and slide further down the table. These nobody's know very little about English Championship football can you imagine what they know about league one?

Say "No" to negativity.

Not the club I loved
Maybe that's my apathy, I think only a Curbs return would probably rekindle that
: - )
Can remember standing on the terrace at Barnet and listening to lots of people chanting for Gritt.
That worked out ok.
Who knows how this might go?
