  • Full support from me. The network is shite, but Luzon's alright..

    Why's it shite?

We've been given some real pony but it seems the standard from SL has gone up and without it I don't think quality players like TBH, Bulot, Buyens and Watt would be here.

Oh and Luzon is far from arrogant.
Yeah, the network has given us some shite, but Bulot, Watt and TBH all came from the network this season. It's not like our non-network success rate was ever 100% either! Some fans have very, very short memories. You'd think we'd never signed a flop from another English club ever to listen to some of the crap I hear at the Valley on a regular basis.
  • I like him (because of the results). I had thought him arrogant to the reporters in his initial interviews but I just think that's his approach. I've warmed to him and I think he's getting used to the club and being at Charlton. Let's face it - look at the flak he got when he first came on board (You don't know what you're doing!). I think that would have made me a bit terse in my initial interviews. 100% support from me.
  • I thought it was about time we resurrected this thread.

For me Luzon now has my 100% support. No doubt whatsoever.
  • Luzon has my support as long as it keeps Dana near.
  • He had my support from the first game. Did I want him in charge when he first took over? no way in hell I was fuming with KM, RD and the club, thought he and we did not stand a chance. Thank you Guy for proving me wrong.

His celebration and then sitting on the steps after being sent off ranks as one of my favourite CAFC manager moments ever. Might even be better than SCP swinging from the Massives' crossbar. 100% support, keep this brilliance coming you nutter.

Nothing can beat the SCP crossbar swing, as it had the added bonus of winding up the arrogant Wednesday fans.
  • Always been happy with his effect on the team but embarrassed to see my early comments, even in a nice way, about being arrogant and happy to retract them. Like his honesty and focus, players obviously know their roles and his arrogance confidence is reflected in how we play.
  • Oh yes, best manager we have had for years.

Disagree @ValleyGary mainly because Luzon took more training before Watford than before Wolves, and Damian said they started according to Luzon's instructions against Watford.
I can see why you call it your way, and I have given reasons why I call it mine.

He has been in charge for 1 game Seth stop being ridiculous
If he wasn't in charge at Watford because of the formalities, then he was as much a non influence at Wolverhampton given the comparison of Sparrows Lane 'flying hours' since his stop start appointment.
Maybe both results are down to Ben Roberts and Damian Matthews then?
Maybe both results are down to Mr d or Ms M.

Or maybe the two matches we have played since his appointment (it was on the OS) are both down to him.
Well, if we're quoting the official site, I'll take your "it was on the OS" and raise it with "First-Team Coach Damian Matthew and Goalkeeping Coach Ben Roberts took charge of the Addicks at Vicarage Road".
It was a bit like taking charge when the manager has a touchline ban. The manager was in the stands at Watford.
    Sorry, head coach.
Bloody hell Seth, you can be really childish at times.

No one can realistically begin to judge Luzon until at least 10 games and it's just really silly to spout all this nonsense.

You're just repeating what you did when Riga was appointed and you made yourself look pretty silly then as well.
I'm happy with what I said

  • I'm puzzled: First ranked Belgian Jupiler league KV Ostend lost today from Zulte- Waregem: 2 goals made by ... Christophe Lepoint (remember him ? ).

I scored a hat trick in that league last week.

Just a hat trick Louis? Goodness I netted 7, and I was playing CB
  • I scored 2 and I was only looking after the half time oranges.
  • The Person who said we didn't have a plan B is talking rubbish ?

That's why at HT he took young KAG off Put BA in midfield and pushed Johann further forward resulting in a good team movement, all on the desk and we scored.
When you lose 12 inches  up front you have to have a plan B.

    100% support for Guy Luzon
  • This time last season we were still unbeaten. No Bikey, no Reza best player <3 and no Peeeeeeters, #Luzon out
  • Good article in the football league paper on Luzon and how he has turned it around.
  • Nope, he will play the cast offs from standard liege like a good boy in the mean time we sail down the abyss If people are not concerned, you either have amazing powers of blind optimism, don't go or you know more than I do and I've got shit in my eyes
Sailing down the abyss was exactly where were going under Jimenez and Slater though. We'd be back in league one already if it wasn't for RD. Can't deny at being concerned though, firstly because the club have clearly lied during the past few days. This was obviously sorted out a while ago and also because i don't see how Luzon is any better than Peeters. However this doesn't mean we shouldn't get behind Luzon and support him and the team.

My word, we're having the same discussions every other season on loop.  Grim.

Shows how very similar the owners are.
