Have we come so far that some of our fan base reminisce about Tucudean!?! He was awful
Awful players don't have games like he did against Derby and Cardiff.
Be interesting to see if he becomes a regular for Romania now.
2 good performances out of how many appearances??
20, he had a 10% performance limit. He could have used 10% per game, but instead chose to be selfless and used 10% on an average of once every 10 games.
The Bolton Game at Home which was the one and only game Duchatelet watched live at the valley, Tucudean had a good game. He also played well against Cardiff at home and one other. He was shite in every away game. I still thought he would have a career, somewhere diving is looked upon as a skill and not just as a cheat.
George, Tony Watt, the great Dane, and Reza, we have had some interesting types of forwards !
If he was any good then perhaps he would have again left the Romanian league and moved to somewhere stronger.
I think you are doing the Romanian (top) league a disservice. I've had to watch FCSB (the new Steaua ) turn over Viktoria Plzen twice this season, in the UCL and then again in the Europa League. The same Viktoria that reached the winter break having won all but one of their league games (and drew the other).
So, you know, a tad better than Charlton in the Championship...
People sometimes underestimate the mental pressures on young footballers who go abroad. Very few English players have succeeded.

Nice guy.
True although everyone seems enthused by Ajose's first good appearance (and a half) this week. Long may it continue, by the way.
For some players, forwards especially, the formation and style of the team are vital. Ajose would struggle up top on his own whereas someone like Firminho could play in a one, two or three.
But the environment and relationship with the coach/manager is just as important. Who could forget, for example, what Brian Clough did with the likes of John Robertson and Kenny Burns (who he converted from CF to CB).
We've probably had a few on our books like George and Ajose where with the right system, handling but most of all time, could have done OK for us. Some players, however, like Tony Watt for example, not even the great Brian Clough could save - from himself most of all.

Shocking player who spent more time on the floor than on his feet.
