Get fuckin in, on another note, wondering if we are seeing the end of Stevo, one of my favourite Kent players ever.
I've thought that for the last 3 years but every now and then he still pulls out a magical performance. Probably one of the best T20 players not to play an international.
15 minutes down the road for me. Great game, swung one way then the other. Don't underestimate Northeast's contribution , though Blake should rightly take the headlines. No more than 30 Kent there.
Hi guys! I know as a Surrey fan I'm not usually welcome on this thread! But I'd just like to let you all know that Canterbury varsity (University of Kent vs Christchurch University) is taking place at the county ground on Friday! So if anyone is at a loose end and wants to see a couple of t20 games then feel free to pop in! As long a you cheer on Uni of Kent!!
The women's game starts at four and the men's at half six! So will be a proper evening t20 possibly even the need for floodlights! Should be a good standard of cricket and a good laugh!
I will be the guy staggering around the ground very intoxicated shouting about how "your dad works for my dad"..etc etc please feel free to say hi! I love to chat to a fellow addick and even more so if they're a lifer! So come on down!!
Reminder to anyone on the area.... will be a good game... The ladies game starts at three a correction from the earlier post...
Lovely day for it!!
Hope you all enjoy your day on the sacred turf!
:-)
We most certainly did! Despite University of Kent losing both the men's and women's games! Both were good matches and very close... The men needed six off the last ball!
A huge thanks to Kent ccc for accommodating us! It must cost them a lot to put on an event like that although the amount of alcohol that was consumed by the few hundred drunk students more than made up for it I'm Sure!
The club pulled out all the stops including a Kent vs Christchurch obstacle race on the outfield in the interval with three crates of beer for that he winners!!! A top club so respect there! There's no way a team like Surrey would allow this to happen...
An all round enjoyable day I know the players enjoyed it and made use of the facilities!! I'm off to continue drinking so peace out!
Kent still can't help themselves in being little bastards!
Wasn't planning on going out tonight, but they put me in a great mood so I did, they cost me a few quid!!! W*nkers!
In all seriousness, what a great game. Fabulous finish.
Although being young, test cricket is still the pinnacle for me, I watched us get battered all day! But games like this do the shortest format no problems at all!
Had a cracking night in Southampton and i was impressed with the Ageas Bowl. Well done Kent. I think I was the only one cheering them on in the ground.
I considered going but didn't due to the late finish and the fact it was on TV. What a night I almost gave up when Alex Blake came in. What a magnificent performance. Is there any chance of an overseas player at all if we qualified for the next stage of 20/20.I always remember one season we brought Muralitharan in for a couple of months and he had an amazing impact as we stayed up in both forms of Cricket. It seems ironic now that Kent were the last County to have that perfect record of being in both first divisions.
