IF it was true, and the third one is difficult because of who he is, then I'd say it's Ritchie, Pitman and FRANCIS. The reason why Francis would be seen as a problem is because of how crap he was with us the first time around.

Of course, its all crap anyway

Yes, I don't believe a word of it!

so Yan scores 17 (ish) and gets BMouth promoted and before he can kick a ball in the Prem they cast him off back to the Champs League ? No way.

As for us getting 3 of their players---maybe but it wont be till they have assembled their Prem squad

He says 'it'll be difficult because of who he is' and then says he doesnt know who they are. Smells strongly of utter bullshit to me. Standard off season nobber in the know.

did Ketts not hint at this a while back?

I would love it if it happened but not gonna get to excited yet. Imagine Yann with Watt and Igor.

    Tissues at the ready gents...

If it is Bournemouth I could see it being Adam Smith, Junior Stanislas and Elliott Ward.

Would we need Francis? Solly is just about able to play week in week out, Francis playing reserve to Solly doesn't make sense given the excellent season he's just had. He won't be right wing as that is JBG, unless he's on his way???

The rumour mill really is in full swing now

Eddie Howe back in May said he would give all of his team a chance in the Prem. One concludes that these players want to leave then.

Can anyone clarify which players have been linked with signing for the Cherries ?

This might help us understand who might be seeking to move on....
  • Isn't it RD's policy not to pay fees for players to other clubs in the same country? Unless the Bournemouth players are on frees i really can't see us splashing any cash on them.

Seems to be the left-back Charlie Daniels, winger Marc Pugh and Yann

so far they've signed two very experienced keepers, including Calamity Federici from Reading (but still fundamentally a very good keeper), a Chelsea winger on loan (Chelsea, the loan shop specialists) and the VERY useful midfielder Joshua King from Blackburn .. but where has the presumption that we are gonna provide employment for redundant AFC B players come from ?

They have already signed Norwegian international striker Josh King and have Atsu on a season long loan from Chelsea. He joined Chelsea from Porto.
They are rumoured to be signing Luke Garbutt on a season loan from Everton and they have made enquiries about Dwight Gayle

Yann is very popular with Bournemouth fans which shows what a good job he has done for them as he had done for us. I think age is less of a factor for him as long as he is fit as he doesn’t rely on pace at all. Having said that, hard decisions have to be made when you jump from the Championship to the Premiership if you want to stay up which I think Bournemouth are going to try to do by spending a bit! You can see why Bournemouth may think they need to let Yann go. I don’t think he wants to go and I’m sure he wants a crack at the Premiership – so seeing as he is under contract with them I can only see him being told he definitely won’t play any games as a reason for him to leave. In that scenario, we would seem to be a good option, but we would presumuably would have to match the contract he has which we were not ready to pay previously. Lots of Ifs and buts in there. My guess would be this might be a deal for the winter.

Yann does only have a year left on his contract, so maybe B'Mouth are maxing out their return?

Thanks Fanny. Slightly off track here, but I think the countries that compete in the commonwealth games should make a rule where if one of them win an Olympics, they automatically get the next commonwealth games. Whilst the commonwealth games is smaller, it is still significant and this would make the financial commitments much more viable.

The rumour was that Garbutt was signing a new contract with Everton and then going on a season loan to the Cherries.

I'd fancy Yann to get a few goals in the prem. He'll still be one of the best headers of a ball in that league

If there is any logic left in Football.
If Garbutt who is playing for the U21 at Moment,
Have signed a new contract for Everton,
He will still go out on loan as Bains is the number one left back.
So he could go to Bournemouth, who may let Charlie Daniels leave.
Eddie Howell will want to see how most of his championship winning side get on in the Prem.
so that would rule out Yann,Ritchie, and Pugh etc, who i thought looked outstanding in both games against CAFC last season. They will struggle to hold on to Calum Wilson, but the big teams may wait to January to make a bid for him.

From CAFC point of View, Only Daniels from the regulars, (mate of Jackson's)
otherwise Pitman, Gosling or any of the non regulars.

Could CAFC being good Hosts for the Cherries and our fans showing their Class in the last game, help our chance of getting decent Championship players from them, who they feel can't step up ?

With Chris Parkes returning from holiday today, and the players reporting back for pre-season training next Monday (29th), we may now see some movement on in-coming players, this week, let's hope

Ah, so it's Chris's fault then. There's a queue of players waiting outside his office, desperately waiting for him to return so they can sign!

It hasn't done his development any harm so far!!!! So they will loan him to a rival to play against us?
