Jordan Cousins, no surprise I suppose being academy and all, personally thought JBG was more of a stand out player and won us more points but I can't fault Jordan's energy, enthusiasm and consistency

Key word that

Consistently great since Luzon came in
Consistently crap when he was LM

not at all saying its his fault I mean he was out of position, just think JBG has been the better player all season round

Callumcafc · May 2015

He wasn't consistently crap at left mid, just not as good as he can be with his engine in the middle.

As a midfielder cutting inside and taking shots with his right peg, he was quite decent.

I would have no qualms if he played there again every once in a while.

wmcf123 · May 2015

He had some good games on the left.

Incidentally, note Luzon played him
On the left until Brentford.

Well done, Jordan. Well deserved ; we missed him enormously yesterday

Garrymanilow · May 2015

Top three is dead right. Some will say it should be in another order but Jordan got my vote. Full of energy, hard work, a few goals and consistent even when played out of position. Hopefully the club will make a big deal out of the fact a homegrown player was young player of the year in his first season of first team football and developed enough to be player of the year the following year. Certainly a good advert for the academy and the opportunities available to young players at The Valley

Congratulations Jordan here is your prize

LargeAddick · May 2015

Thing is though he gave his all when played on the left, never shirked anything, never hid, and although not spectacular he wasn't poor either. I voted for Jordan but could just as easily been JBG or Hendo but Jordan played every game, bar two, Hendo missed a large chunk of the season and JBG too blew hot and cold for a while. Well deserved in my opinion so well done Jordan. And as said elsewhere I voted Poyet last season but on reflection regretted it and should have voted Cousins.

This time I no I am not the only one because I heard it around me
every game the first thing me and other people said when leaving the stadium was Cousins is not a LM

he might have had a couple of good moments, but never a good whole game at LM IMO

MuttleyCAFC · May 2015

I predict a great career for Jordan.

LargeAddick · May 2015

Yep, not a LM and we all knew it but when asked to play there what does he say 'no'? To say he was consistently crap is out of order. I can only assume you sit amongst a group of fans who can't recognise that fact and realise that he is doing a job for the team in a position to which he isn't ideally suited. Thankfully most people disagree hence him being Player of the Year. Just accept you are in a minority on this one.

paulie8290 · May 2015

before people start arguing with me lol I would like to make this very very clear

I love Jordan Cousins, and really hope we can keep him for a long time
I just think BP screwed up playing him at LM and don't think he played particularly well whilst he was there

which is fully expected with paying a player out of position.

newyorkaddick · May 2015

Pre-election message from Jordan Cousins to Ed Miliband:

Move from the left to the centre to win more votes.

MuttleyCAFC · May 2015

We all know he was played out of position, but he did a job there and was decent and didn't complain. Then he did a great job in his right position. There is a lot more to come from him, but I think a lot of fans also saw that the lad left everything out on the pitch every game. I'm expecting him to get better and better too.

sirjohnhumphrey · May 2015

Correct decision for me.
Sometimes you need to look beyond individual skill and moments of brilliance and look at attitude, reliability and commitment. I agree he had some poor games at left mid but he never hid or shirked his responsibility,
Probably produced one of the individual performances of the season against Forest.
94 games in two seasons is no small feat.
Deserved winner and hopes he adds that extra 5pc that will make him a very decent footballer into an excellent one.

MuttleyCAFC · May 2015

From interview sounds like Bikey open to stay for next season. I hope he does.

CharltonDave85 · May 2015

Well said that man

Congratulations and well deserved Jordan!

I just hope you are still with us in August having signed a contract extension.

CharltonDave85 · May 2015

The top 3 was spot on and in the right order as well. I think next season those 3 will be right up there again if we can keep them. Now everyone relax and enjoy your summer

Kap10 · May 2015

I voted JBG but who can begrudge JC the award, well done.

Any news of payers, player of the year.

It worked for Tony Blair.

Well done Jordan. Throughly deserved for his consistant performances this season at left and centre midfield.

LargeAddick · May 2015

In a minority as otherwise he wouldn't have won POTY would he? Just as the amount of fans who are also on CL are in the minority. No point quoting match ratings from CL fans as it isn't representative of the whole fan base. That's why there is a POTY vote.

MuttleyCAFC · May 2015

The biggest stat is that over the season the majority of fans who voted thought he was player of the season.

again a brilliant end to the season and as with Mr Poyet that's what sticks in peoples minds

MuttleyCAFC · May 2015

JBG had a strong case but he can put it right next year!

paulie8290 · May 2015

If the end of season Statbank has Cousins as number one I will apologise, but have a feeling it wont

If JBG can find a little more consistency then not only will he be picking up our player of the season, he'll be the best player in the division.

I refuse to send a postal vote to Hull.
