Part time spinners do tend to pick up the handy wickets, I remember Vaughan picking up one or two key wickets for England. Batsmen tend to lose their focus and let their guard down against them.
Aus 562-7 at Tea. I reckon they'll bat for another hour then declare. They'll want an hour at us tonight
32 (30 if they declare or are bowled out) overs theoretically left today.
Will they want the ball relatively new for the morning in which case they might decide to only have 10 overs or so at us tonight or will they just carry on until they are bowled out or get 600 whichever comes first irrespective of when that happens?
Appreciate that they didn't want our openers (and Cook especially) having 20 minutes to prepare to bat but does really one over make that much of a difference? Effectively the openers have now had half an hour to prepare for the inevitable.
That was woeful from Lyth. He looked far from convincing against New Zealand. Will be amazed if he is still opening by the time we get to match 4 or 5.
Hales should come in for Lyth. I think Hales should've been opening the batting for England in all forms for the past 12-18 months anyway. Has the potential to be 1 of the best openers in the world in my opinion

Theory is Clarke may have declared whether Mitchell Johnson was out or not.
Giving our batsmen only 10 mins to prepare, instead of 20 mins.
