@Halix here you go post decimalisation prices.

In those days you really had to fight your way through the crowd to get a decent vantage point!

Who remembers being able to stand behind one goal in the first half and then walking round to the other end at half time?

    six

Or is it Frank Haydock? It's not Setters...

Or running when being chased by the opposition's fans.

But then again, it does look like Ian King...

I think Redchaser is correct re number Six being Ian King:

Pretty sure 6 is not Setters I'm no oil painting but he would have made Ian Dowie look handsome
  • Nine

The one and only, the best header of a ball, bar none, to play for Charlton. Prague Addick thought Leaburn was better but Carl wasn't fit to brush his dentures.

    Agree!
  • I seem to remember Setters having blonde/fair hair. Is the one on the left of photo number 8 Rodney Stone? may have been before his time.
  • Wonderful stuff...More please, sir.

7 with Halom might be Stenson? I can't remember his first name (Steve?).

Did you mean John Sneddon @Pedro45 who came to us from Arsenal towards the end off his career? Don't think it's him because the lad in the picture looks a bit too young.

    Number six:

I think the bloke on the left next to Charlie Wright is Maurice Setters but could be wrong.

No, I think you are right there Len

I've got loads more but want to get these first
I recall Setters looking older than that and had less hair. However, I was only about 10 so could be talking nonsense.
  • OK, two more

ten. Who is this very mod player?

    image
  • And eleven

Who is he and would you buy a used motor from him?

  • OK, two more

    Graham Moore?

That was what I thought. Don't remember him being so mod though.
  • Eleven looks a bit like Dennis Booth and photos can be deceptive but he wasn't that tall.

    JOHN Stenson.

John Stenson who made one substitute appearance in about 1969. Not him though.
I think he went to Malory school in Downham with wwtone.

    JOHN Stenson.
If that is him that's a great call he only played 11 times for us.
  • Number 8

Is the younger bloke on the right Lucien (?Luciano) Massiello?

  • Don't recognise him but that's my Ford Anglia!

I thought Dennis Booth was a possible too
  • Ten has to be Graham Moore

Anyone know if Eleven is Luciano Masiello?
  • I think 10 is Paul Hince?
  • Number 7

Could the guy on the left be Cliff Myers?

  • Pedro45 said:

My first thought was Graham Moore but yes Hince is a possible.
  • I don't remember Masiello looking quite like that for 11, and I'm not sure that is Dennis Booth either, he was not quite so dapper as that was he?
    Great thread :-)
  • Without checking back against some old programmes it looks like Paul Went and Bobby Curtis to me though don't take my word for it

    Thats what I thought
  • Graham "utility man" Moore, so I wonder if Morgan Fox will overtake his Welsh caps total?
