Except for 7 which, not only a technological master piece, was heart breakingly brilliant. Mixed emotions about the remake. Excited to see on modern technology, but can't see how it won't diminish the legacy as games have moved on.
Personal favourites: Fallout 2 System shock Dues ex
Golden Eye- basement, pistols. One shot kills. to this day the zenith of split screen multiplayer.
I love star wars battlefront, simple enough for the novice but challenging enough to keep me interested. Playing online with like minded simpleton pals is what this game is all about.
However
I've dedicated the last fortnight of my life to shadow of mordor. That is the best game I've played since the last of us.
Paid 15 quid for a pre used copy and it was worth every penny
"SUFFER ME NOW!!"
"FORFEIT YOUR MIND!!"
"I SEE YOU!!"
What a superb game that was. Reminds me, I still need to do the DLC

And now
GTA 5 Tomb Raider and Rise Of The Tomb Raider (2 fantastic games if you've never played them)
Of course, all of the FIFA games as well, but nowadays they're just 'updates' as such which I buy every year. But you can't beat the old days of FIFA 99, 2000 and World Cup 98 on the Playstation. I guess you could say the same about the old Gran Turismo and GTA games....yes they're fantastic now, but they were just so much more fun when I was younger.
Sonic 2 (Megadrive) Starfox (SNES) Pokemon Blue/Red (Gameboy) Fifa 98: Road to World Cup (PC) Unreal Tournament (PC) Diablo 2 w/ expansion (PC) Championship Manager 01/02 (PC) Mario Kart '64 (N64) Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) Goldeneye (N64) Super Smash Bro's (Gamecube) Final Fantasy VII (PS1) Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (PS2) GTA San Andreas (PS2) Final Fantasy X (PS2) Pro Evo 6 (PS2) Call of Duty: World at War (PS3)
But my all time fav game has to be Final fantasy VII. Not my normal type of game but this was out of this world. Didnt really like the newer versions though.
Premier Manager Mario Kart Pilot Wings on the SNES Football Manager/Champ Manager
Was this the one on the Mega Drive where they had scores in each bit (ie passing) up to 99. The higher scores ie in the 80s were in red, I think 90s were in yellow. If this is the same one then yes I enjoyed that one as well.
I sort of track my games through the ages. Starting with my cousins' spectrum
Paperboy Rocky Horror Picture Show Tilt Ghostbusters (overhead view of the city, you had to buy new equipment to get better) never cross the streams Dizzy series - Particularly Treasure Island Dizzy There was a football manager game as well where you could only ever score 4. You knew if you got 4 goals you'd won the game There were other arcade ones, but I can never remember the names
Master System
Alex the Kid built into the master system 2 The Wonderboy series - particularly the one where you could change animals in the castle Chase HQ James Buster Douglas Knockout boxing Double Dragon (40 roundhouse kicks in front of that hole in the wall to be invincible)
Mega Drive
Road Rash Italia 90 FIFA original California Games
Playstation
Resident Evil - and then Code Veronica Resident Evil on the Dreamcast
I didn't have a Nintendo until late so the usual Mario Kart and Mario World. Pro Evo Soccer when they invented the through ball and those scenarios where you would be 2 down with 5 minutes to go and needed to win
So many more but these are the ones that spring to mind
GTA 3. Revolutionised sandbox gaming. The versions that followed over the years were all pretty good updates, so it looks a bit old hat now, but at the time that game was the mutts nuts. The leap from GTA 2 was extraordinary.
Comments
Just remembered Theme Park too and not so great imo but theme hospital.
The Final Fantasy series.
Overhyped crap imo.

Defender (Arcade Version near the bar area at Riviera Lido Holiday Camp near Bognor)
Both in the 80's
Maelstrom (on my old work Mac)
Apart from those haven't played many as I have never had a games console and won't encourage my children to.
I do however have Defender on my iPhone that is pretty good.
