  • The TV rights for west ham's home games must be the hottest ticket now, the games are so watchable. When's the next one scheduled for ?

    Just like Sheffield United...

Wet Spam will come good!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better.....

Who said you couldn't get any getter Fanny?

Edit: Ha, you changed it! Good skills, very astute
  • Went there before a Rugby WC game. I can quite imagine them not wanting West Ham fans after a game, especially on a Saturday as they'll have plenty of customers anyway.

The whole West Ham/Olympic saga gives me really conflicting feelings

    1) That it's a disgrace that West Ham has been given a taxpayer funded new stadium, to push them to the next level at the expense of other neighbouring clubs

    but on the other hand

    2) That the new stadium they've been given is actually a terrible stadium for football, and thus will actually harm them
  • Martyn Macintyre
    @MrMMacintyre
Steward at the West Ham game receiving treatment after being attacked by group of West Ham supporters, things turning very ugly here.
  • Until I saw the view from the Sky cameras I just didn't realise how far away the fans are from the action, that is if there is any action.

In the event that West Ham do go down, who would be taking the hit financially from the predictably lower gate receipts? And would West Ham's rent be amended accordingly?

Why, you, of course. Did you really need to ask?

West Ham's rent is cut by 50% to £1.25 m. Since the overheads are unlikely to drop by anything like that amount, they will effectively be paid to play there .

Heads you lose, tails Gullivan win.

  • So has this become a laugh at West ham thread?

    *Fetches popcorn*

I thought so but I'd hate to be one of those berks being anti-West Ham without having all the facts straight.

    Oh, my days...

Lots of claims on twitter but, strangely, the exact link no longer exists

    https://t.co/e4cFvfusTK

It initially said:West Ham fans claim the club are pumping fake crowd noise into the new stadium

    Oh, my days...

When I was at their Europa League debacle a few weeks ago I'm 99% sure that I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles (including the bit where the music cuts and it's just the fans supposed to be signing) was being helped along over the PA system.
  • That comment from Gold sums it up, he just cares about the money. Plenty of comments below criticising him as he seems to somehow think that a large capacity = guaranteed success. Tell that to Newcastle.

    and Villa
    and Leeds
    and Sheffield Weds...

Let's hope they draw Millwall in the FA Cup

But who will Millwall blame it on when it all kicks off?
I reckon the fact that there will be no police in the ground should cover it.
  • EA Sports are using the stadium today for the FIFA launch. Is this classified as West Ham useage as in Football mode? Or put through separately through Landlords.
