Different times, heavyweights now are colossal whereas Ali, Liston, Frazier, Tyson, Spinks were all give or take 6ft nowadays any of them fighting Lewis, Briggs, Fury, Joshua, either Klitcshko would be ridiculous.
Not sure I agree (I usually do with you) - just my opinion of course, but Mike Tyson at his best beats any heavyweight fighting today, as does Foreman at his best (he is 6'3"). Ali (also 6'3") at his best beats any heavyweight in history. Ali beat Ernie Terrell (6'6") in a unification fight - not just beat but destroyed and humiliated him in the famous 'what's my name' fight.
The current holder of most of the belts - is 6'3".
Interesting you say that about Ali bob I think the same, for me he was the best there has ever been but my kids wont have it. I personally think the only one that might have done him was Tyson at his peak purely because he was such a freak of nature in terms of strength and ferocity.
Very sad news. The South African boxer who many will probably have seen dazed and throwing punches at thin air in his fight at the weekend, has died in hospital from a brain injury. Only 24 years old. RIP.

Did anyone watch Joe Joyce last night? Half empty Wembley arena for the juggernaut.
I just don't rate him
I rate him, he beats everyone up but his style his horrible to watch, awful. And I can imagine especially after what he did to Dubois not many prospects want to go near him and there won't be a queue of older pros wanting to get worked over by him

He's a good boxer, but not elite level imo. Usyk would box his head off

Truth be told he isn't fit to lace someone like Usyk's gloves, he is however an Olympian, he is clearly a nightmare to fight, Christian Hammer in my humble opinion didnt fight badly last night and he has had an OK career but he had no idea how to deal with Joyce doing what he does, walking people down relentlessly and throwing horrible to watch but clearly effective thudding punches. So on Merit if he keeps on beating people he deserves a shot if it comes his way.
It exhausts me just watching people trying to keep up with him, allegedly Frank Warren is trying to persuade Dillian Whyte to take a fight with Joyce and that would be interesting

Setting my alarm for Kambosas v Haney
RIP young man.
But the whole production was a farce. Would be amazed if the fighters get paid their full cheque
