Just watching the Sky coverage now. I've no idea what the moaning on here is about - they're being very fair to us. The only thing the commentator has gotten wrong is the financial situation. He thinks we're safely in the money. Apart from that they've not avoided the issue at all. Quite the opposite.
How has KM still got a job? Complete and utter failure like this would not be accepted anywhere else. Horrible feeling of anger , sadness and powerlessness. Respect to CARD for all they've done this season, but today was well below par.
Very difficult for them with the Club in full security paranoia mode.
And it doesn't sit well with me for anyone on here (who by definition isn't at the game) to criticise the protests.
Unfortunately I'm stuck in Spain for work so couldn't be there today. I don't believe CARD are above criticism and I even praised what they have done so far, but that goes to show what they can organise. I appreciate that paranoia by the club was abundant today but have not seen anything to suggest that anything was even attempted.

Seconded ...videos all over social media, support (again) from another clubs fans, Meire and Murray having to go into hiding after halftime, the sofa gone , season tickets left with Sam, massive financial outlay by the club today ...we got it right not wrong.
For the (personal) record, I encountered and spoke to loads of Burnley fans today. Every single one of them were excellent. Interested, supportive, understanding, loving their success (as they absolutely should), not triumphalist, not mean spirited, very friendly, sought me out for handshakes, and a genuine fellow feeling as supporters.
30 years ago Burnley were one match away from going out of the league, they get it, and all that I met today, young and old, they get our situation.
From what I experienced today the Burnley fans were pretty classy, and it was unforced and genuine class too.
Great effort from CARD, from our fans, and from the Burnley fans. Great being on the pitch with the Jimmy Seed Stand singing 'we want Roland out'. All the BFC fans I spoke to before and after the game were great as well. Best of luck to them, and hope Brighton make it up too.
Difficult for CARD with the measures put in place by the club, but I think the car park closures caused a real headache for the club. During the game protests were a bit more 'guerilla', and respect to every individual who made an effort. After the game was brilliant. Don't begrudge Burnley having their celebration - was probably the spur needed to get us on the pitch - and it seems the protests made a big impact on social media.
The protests have been the only thing worth turning up at the Valley for the last few months. I won't be back until Roland's gone.
Charlie Nicholas on SKY has just mentioned on Soccer Saturday that the Aston Villa game might finish later as beachballs are raining down on to the pitch.
I wish there was a way of banning every Burnley fan on the pitch from any game next season, mugs
Totally agree!!!!!! Those burnnley supporters running around pitch with anti Roland posters sacrificing their moment of glory to fight our corner should not only be banned from every ground in the country but also shot in the street.
I was critical of them before today on another post but think that the support from them at full time was brilliant. It's ok though Roland. Only 2% ran onto the pitch and joined in
Do not know if conspiracy or usual Charlton cock up. I could not get into ground, my season ticket came up as invalid. I had to give my name and they let me in.
Another class act from a set of fans! Joined in the chanting, had 'Roland Out' posters and even a few beach balls! Once again, thanks to the Burnley fans and wish them well. The police and stewards were so intent on keeping the North Stand penned in that the reality of a Burnley invasion seemed to have missed them! Many Burnley fans went to the North Stand and applauded our fans. A club that understands our problems and showed it.
I was next to a Cafc official camera crewed by a student. He said he was filming the match but was filming north upper and bundles in the east. Obviously lying. We kept putting posters in front of the lens when there was "action" which really pissed them off. I gave my opinion throughout and during the pitch invasion all recorded for posterity.
Hung around until the Burnley players came out to celebrate then left. The Police in the ground did not seem to have a clue today. They should have nicked a few of the stewards for their bully boy behaviour. It took 3 carrier loads of City of London Police to finally clear the Burnley stragglers off the pitch. Shows how things went wrong when they called in support from the City of London as they arrived a good 30mins after the final whistle. I found it a quite upsetting to see all those season tickets around Sam's boots after the game. That vision will stay in my memory for a long time. Just to clarify for the doubters. Hundreds of our fans were on the pitch at the end. It took them longer than Burnley to get on because of a combination of netting and ninja stewards to be negotiated. Well played to everyone today. The message was well and truly delivered. Roland and Katrien will have a lot of explaining to do next week.

Couldn't give a toss if they had Roland out banners or not, sitting in the home end and jumping up when Burnley score, and then threatening a woman in her mid 50's because she calls you out about it, then when they get removed by stewards, they suddenly pop up at the bottom of the JS stand giving us all wanker signs. Then to cap it off going on someone else's pitch at full time, breaking hoardings along the way and continue to lord it up in front of us. No class whatsoever from the northern twunts
Comments: The sun shone. We lost. We are down and out. Okay. So I called Roland out as bad news from the off. In Week One I likened his 'plan' to the 'Okey Cokey. In, out, in, out, shake it all about. So, Mr Big Bucks, you've done it your way and you've done it your way some more and then done the same again. And then repeated that.
Today I saw the anger in my fellow fans. I saw resignation in some. I saw defiance in others. And at the end, I saw the stuffing ripped out of the damn red sofa and that summed it all up. The sofa. A symbol of Charlton Athletic FC in the Duchatelet era. Ripped to bits. And at 2.45pm - the time at which I have so often entered The Valley - I walked out and away, trying to take strength from memories of happy times enjoyed since my first visit there, in 1980.
Roland Duchatelet: Your tenure has been, and remains, malign and you have been the ruination of the club that I have supported for so many years. Your crassness, your incoherence, your arrogance, your interference has led to this. It is YOUR failure. Perhaps you'll have the good grace and sense to sell up before August. If you do not, I'll be back at The Valley next season - but not inside it. Pay you another penny I shall not. I'll be there to oppose you.

Sam From what I witnessed on the pitch after the final whistle and talking to a number of the Burnley fans you are wrong about the majority of them and why shouldn't they jump up when they scored, OK if they abused someone that was wrong but that was a minority and what's wrong with being from the north of England? oh yes and you can't spell cunts
Shame we don't get to clap the players one last time as well, some of them definitely didn't deserve to be part of this relegation season
Which of them?
Cousins, JBG, Diarra, Teixeira, Lookman, Kashi, Pope, Jackson and Henderson
Not for me. They've all been part of this and every single one of them deserved to be relegated. Some of them haven't been as bad as others but for me they must all take their share of the blame
Ah...as we left the ground about 5 minutes after the end, the police were in a proper flap. They were shouting 'The TSG are coming straight in, but let have gone straight on the pitch, they're coming straight here.'
I had no idea what they were talking about at the time but now think they mean the like the city of London emergency police for terrorist action support.

Shouldn't be in the home stands in the first place though should they, so certainly shouldn't then jump up when Burnley score, or sing Burnley songs. May not be the majority of them but that was the only interaction I had with their fans and therefore that's my view of them.
First half we competed. A few of our players motivated by the cameras for their next move perhaps. Second half a microcosm of the season as a whole.
Well done to the liar banner, the lone pitch invader and our own WSS on going for the sofa. Hope the goons didn't do any damage. I thought they were rough with those they actually managed to catch.
Just take the hint, sell the Club and piss off back to Belgium PLEASE!!!
After the game I spoke to a senior Charlton employee (leaving the club after today) and asked if it is possible that RD will sell. Unfortunately I was told that it is very unlikely so I fear that there are many more battles ahead.

We lost.
The sofa.
And I was on the pitch, no fucking if's, no fucking but's.
Should have done it weeks ago.

When burnley first tried to get over, they had five of them trying to push closed one of the crush gates thereby crushing in the burnley at the front.
They got it shut and all of them were in it but but let eventually busted it open and thank goodness they did. Morons stewards.
Wonder where they got that idea from

Well done fellow Charlton fans

That would be truly a monumental fuck up.
