  • One point to be ware of is that there is no cut-off time today - so England will have to bowl all 84 overs regardless of time. Of course, they will want to anyway- but could actually bowl MORE than 84 if they get the over rate going - then again Pakistan cant slow the over rate down either.
  • if an England opener did that in this situation he'd be hounded out of cricket. he'd have to become a golfer or something

Guessing he played a stupid shot. What did he do
  • Gently helped a short ball into long-leg's hands, off the middle of the bat
  • Azhar Ali c Cook B Moeen Ali 38

    Younis c Bairstow b Anderson 4

    115-3
  • Misbah c Bairstow b Finn 10

    Younis c Bairstow b Anderson 4

Age seems to have finally caught up with Younis, although Misbah seems to have hot better.

  • Loving the improvement in Woakes. Game on.
  • Thought we needed 4 down by tea to have a chance with their fragile tail.
  • Sarfraz c Root b Woakes 0

    125-6
  • All over now surely
  • Sami Aslam b Finn 70

    125-7
  • Superb from England.
  • Nice to see Finn get a couple.
  • Very good from England - 4 wickets for 1 run at one stage.
  • 336-5 at lunch.

We'll do well to save this match and get a draw.

    just bumping this

  • Man of the Match? Extremely difficult, this. I'd consider Moeen obviously, for his near-150 runs, but you'd ideally want one of the fast bowlers. But which one? All of them, shared? I'd also consider Cook himself
  • Extremely difficult chance, but Vince definitely seems to drop more than he catches.

Cook, if England win. Whoever hits the winning runs if Pakistan win.
  • That sorts out MOM, I suspect
  • Has to be Moeen surely.
  • Pakistan all out 201
    England win by 141 runs

Well we did more than well didn't we ?

    Absolutely superb performance.

Can't wait for Thursday at The Oval. My mate still has a £75 spare if anyone wants it.
  • Two matches running, Cook's captaincy has proven far better than his biggest detractors would like to admit.
  • Brilliant fight back victory.

    He's improved a lot. He's had to
