Welcome Russell, we hope you enjoy your brief stay at The Valley.

  • Northampton based sources have revealed that the Addicks are keen to bring Northampton Town's Ricky Holmes to The Valley.

  • So possibly up to £5.5m for them two, plus I'd say maybe 25-30k a week saved. Yet we can't stump more than 200k for Moncur? I've tried my best to be 'reasonable' to the regime so far this summer. While I still want them gone as ever I want the best for the club and if we can get some positives I'll take them. But that's ridiculous.

Obviously it could well be waiting for Slade's input. Guy on Twitter commenting on it said once he's in they're expecting a huge drive in recruitment.

Don't be reasonable with those wankers - they haven't been towards to you or the rest of their "customers".
  • At a quick look I thought his name was Gonedoggin

Let's hope the incoming players are good enough this time and that we keep the current key players together. You'll never get any success by overhauling the squad every single year.

I would take signings like this as a good sign, not because I know much about him but because it would involve Roland being willing to pay a transfer fee for a british player and one who has no serious potential sell on price due to his age.

A few signings like that and I might start to believe they want to change their ways.

Yep, come September they won't have filled all gaps in the squad and two/three u21s will be in match day squad as soon as we have a couple of injuries or suspensions.

And that is what they want you to think

I am as paranoid as most others at the moment but I doubt they would go to the effort of spending the transfer budget on older british players purely to try and trick us fans.

It is a big if as nothing has happened yet, so I won't be praising them until it happens but I want to see investment in trying to make us a better team rather then on purely who is cheap and likely to be able to sell on for more money in the laptop scouts view.

So again if they do sign four or five experienced british players in their mid to late 20s or older for actual fee's, then for me as much as I despise the current regime I would see that as a big step in the right direction.

  • Just a shame that we cant get Megan, 23 from Middlesex to confirm or deny the rumour with her views anymore!!
Read that as "Megan 23 from Middlesboro"........ Thought it was a young CB we were after!

  • On 5 April 2016 it was reported by Milton Keynes Dons that Hall had suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during training, and had returned to Bolton Wanderers for treatment.[32]

    Is that a quick healer?
