I wouldn't have thought so.cafcledbury said:Do you think we can have a proper rumour today please.

Do we reckon that's it on the signings front then?
What happened to the Louis Thompson rumour?0 -
Can't be bothered to look it up, but you said exactly the same thing to me last season just before kick off and that worked out well.Leuth said:Five new signings? Five? With nobody leaving? Our fans do not live on planet Earth sometimes

Considering we have no midfield I would suggest 2 more in. If Jacko is a starter then you may as well have 10 men and Crofts isn't much better.Valley11 said:Do we reckon that's it on the signings front then?

Happy for Tex to leave to fund these 2.3 -

I wonder if there will be a place for Regan Charles-Cook when he is fully fit in the centre of midfield?johnnybev1987 said:Midfield please, then ill be happy

I seem to remember reading comments previously from those who regularly watch the U21s saying that what his natural position. If he is decent in that position then maybe Slade is waiting to give him a try there? Has experience in the first team (even if it was at right back).
Rumours a few months back circulating that Chelsea were also looking at him so if true he must have something about him.
Still think we need at least 2 more players for that position as it is obviously the weak point of the team at present.1 -

Great signing for Gills that. As if we couldnt compete with them over a signing. or just wasnt bothered1

Doesn't mean that we don't have other irons in the fire. Perhaps as you say our offer was crap but that's not the impression we have had from the signing of Novak, Ajose and Pearce.LargeAddick said:

Still let's continue to be 100% negative even when we don't have any evidence.

Was Watching the botaka interview and I noticed gobern is still training with us, anyone have any clues to why he hasn't signed a deal as of yet? Been training with us a good few weeks now. Personally I would be very happy with him!5

We offered him a good deal apparentlyLargeAddick said:

Trying to find out why he has gone to Gillingham unless they offered him better , had offers from Turkey and the states , to be honest bit baffled by this?0 - Sponsored links:

Reckon this is wot happened , will find out why , really thought he would AV been a good signing for us exactly wot we need in the middle of the park , maybe he didn't want to get mixed up with Roger Johnson again after their wolves turnout ?ShootersHillGuru said:

Is he really what we want? Isn't he another Andrew Crofts?0

Maybe it is us after Dacks? Right age and very decent at this level and should be able to move up a level as well.
No idea how much he would cost, but we could do a lot worse.0 -
@Clem_Snide can put everybody straight on this one. I think I'm right in saying we are probably one of the last clubs he would sign for.Redrobo said:Maybe it is us after Dacks? Right age and very decent at this level and should be able to move up a level as well.

Didnt Gillingham turn down a £3m bid for Dack at some stage in the summer or last season?0
-
Correction... Was around £2m from Bristol City

You'd be right. More chance of him signing for Welling.ricky_otto said:

Was asking his mum yesterday why he's still at the Gills. Apparently Scally is asking silly money. The only recent "firm" offer is from Rangers, which he isn't keen on.
All irrelevant at the moment as whilst we were talking he texted her to say he was at Harley St waiting for a scan as he got injured at Southend in Tuesday night.0 -
Yet when it comes to our players apparently if they want to go we have to sell them, and £1-2m or so is all we can ask for.Clem_Snide said:
