Great username. ;o)25May98 said:I ordered my three this morning (after being a wally and getting my dates mixed up first time around).
Can I just say that the 'covered end choir' website was so slick and quick. I ordered and paid in about 2 minutes on a mobile phone.
I've just bought tickets for Oxford from the Charlton website. Fuck me. "Please add a delivery address" BUT I'M COLLECTING". Sorry an error occurred. Please do everything again.2 -
Just got done with ordering/paying for a shirt and looking forward to wearing it to a few of the "footie on TV" bars here in TO
Really came on to say a big "thank you" to the folks who have made this happen, it's very much appreciated.
A few years ago my wife set up a business buying and importing bags from India so I understand how much how much work goes into working with manufacturers or distributors, shipping companies, customs brokers and the like.....a lot! So thanks again
I wouldn't be surprised if you had calls from Blackpool supporters etc., your understanding of the processes would be invaluable for them if they decided to do something similar.2 -
The coveredendchoir website has now reopened to sell the remaining protest shirts. Don't delay , we have already sold out of some sizes0
-
Do these shirts come up bigger? I'm a large for the normal club shirt but measuring it for dimensions shows me as being roughly a small for this sizing on the website.
Any feedback would be great thanks0 -
They are reasonably generous , a Medium will probably be fine0

As Nick commented they do come up a bit big thats why we asked everyone to look at the sizing chart and do a comparison with an existing shirt. Im an XL in the Nike Shirt range but a Large fits me in our sizes. I have one of each...just in case.Addick90 said:Do these shirts come up bigger? Tomorrow I am off to Fleetwood for what will be my first proper game of the season. One of the things I am looking forward to most is the opportunity to wear my new protest shirt. I was lucky enough to be invited onto what might be described as the steering group (a private thread on Charlton Life). To describe my role as negligible, would be bigging it up considerably, yet I am so glad that I was there to witness what went on.
As someone who was effectively a privileged bystander in this operation, I have nothing but admiration for those driving the protest shirt project. The creativity, determination, leadership and willingness of people to get involved with their own specialist areas of knowledge were all second to nothing I have ever witnessed. Add to that that it was by and large a virtual group that crossed continents and it's fair to say that what happened was something very special indeed. The final product is fantastic and I would add that later, when my son had put on a few pounds rendering one of our orders too small, the customer service was first class too.
The professionalism and positive spirit was so great, that it really makes me think how utterly stupid Duchatelet and Meire were to shun the fans when they took over. If they had looked for ways to work with them and harness their energies and considerable talent, we could have had something very special at this club indeed. Instead they chose the arrogant ‘He does it his way and they need to accept that’ approach, and proceeded to wreck the club by meddling in something they have no understanding of. Hopefully the next custodians will see proper fan engagement, rather than the manipulation of a few starry-eyed sycophants, as one of their top priorities. It is a club, and there are tremendous synergies to be had if everyone clubs together. Not with the current regime though. It’s far too late for that.
I hope that there will be lots of other protest shirt wearers at Fleetwood and that one day we can look back and say yes this shirt demonstrated our determination to force change and was something that contributed in some small way to rescuing our club from this vile regime. In the mean time, I think as Lifers we can all be very proud of what this small group from among us achieved.
PS - I'm up for a badge or two when they come up for sale.21 -

Enjoyed wearing ours yesterday. Also a good talking point -couple of young Fleetwood lads in the stadium bar pre match asked about them so gave us the opportunity to have a Roland rant and help spread the word.2
