Good luck. Dave. I would find it very hard to do that job knowing that the result you're really looking out for is that of CAFC
C'mon BDL there's more to this isn't there PV has said to you, 'keep your hand in down the Fleet until we all move back once the Belgians have got bored with their failed experiment and p*ssed off'.
If you don't respond to this Dave I'm going to take this as a resounding admission that I'm onto something .
So many of the old guard down at Ebbsfleet now. Karl Howman has some sort of role doesn't he? I saw him with Peter Varney and other board members at Eastbourne v Ebbsfleet last November, cheering them on and shouting for them.
I've never been to Ebbsfleet but I think I actually support them now.

Just a thought, how about a merger if the worst comes to the worst similar to Dagenham and Redbridge, how about (AFC) Charlrlton and Ebbsfleet United? Don't sound too bad.

Where's Ebbsfleet again ?
Local to Gravesend and Northfleet isnt it?
Of course, maybe we could merge with that team instead !
As a season ticket boycotter this season, I'm planning on taking in a few more Ebbsfleet games as I live within walking distance of their ground. Looks like I'll be seeing a few familiar faces!
Good move BDL. I have seen quite a few games down there over the years. Both my sons played for there Academy team, so always look out for there results. I hope that they progress, and wish the club all the best.
Thank to all for the good luck messages, even @Leuth and his waders.
First off, I want to make it clear that I am a Charlton fan, first and foremost so don't expect threads from me on why you should all come down to Stonebridge Road, however you will all be welcome if you do choose to visit the Fleet (or Bromley, Welling, Dulwich, Cray, Chatham et al).
I will still be going to the Valley and I will still be supporting the team and making a general cacophony where I can ;-).
However something that has been worrying me for some time and that is the subject of boycotting games.
Yes, I very much agree with CARD's stance on season ticket renewal, but that doesn't mean to say that we should boycott games. My fear is an empty Valley only plays into the Belgian's hands.
The club will be offering incentives and we should look to use them as much as possible to boost attendances whilst putting as little money into his hands as possible.
Ultimately we all want Charlton to succeed, well us, the fans do. It just appears to me that lessons have not been learnt and we start the season with a squad that may struggle, especially with injuries. Whether that is intentional or not?
I think, over time, we will eventually discover Roland's true ambitions for the club and we all need to be prepared.
Good point Dave re incentives, but be prepared for what?
For what I think will be his ultimate goal.
Many have raised suspicions as to what his ultimate goal is, or will be.
I still struggle to believe that his intentions were anything non footballing as the amount of money he has and continues to sink in far exceeds any value of the ground etc.
What's clear is he currently wants to run things on a shoe string which means we are only heading one way.......

Boycotting season tickets, keeping "them" guessing will they/won't they attend & of course making full use of any matchday incentives is a policy I have advocated for months and one that the Fanackapans have signed up to.
Regarding Roland's "true ambitions for the club" has me feverishly fingering my worry beads though....
Just one question on that teaser.
Has his cunning plan been mentioned or hinted about on CL in the past or have we been well wide of the mark thus far ?
Oh and congrats on your new role. Please make sure PV knows that 98% of the faithful are patiently waiting on his every word...
@Rob7Lee@Fanny Fanackapan it's only my gut feeling. I'm putting two and two together and it has been mentioned by many on here. I won't say anything other than i'm beginning to believe his intentions aren't good

Very reasonable rates and the cameras already set to the right height for the announcer. :-)
Good luck by the way.
General manager Dave Archer said, “When completed, the new £5m (then my brain took over)match day announcer
I immediately assumed @BDL is now very well off.
