My feeling on RD's intentions is simply this - Why would an extremely successful business person appear to compound the same old mistakes leading to apparent devaluing of his assets unless he had an alternative option/ ulterior motive? If his "plan" does not appear to make sense to us, then it might simply be that we do not understand or cannot see what it really is. He is a business man, not a football man. He is out to make money out of Charlton irrespective of fanbase, community or club history. He may have failed in politics, he may have weird egocentric ideas, but you better believe he is out to make a profit somehow out of CAFC. That's what he is here for. That's my take on it anyway. It is the only way I can make sense of what is happening.

OK . This is pretty naïve & simplistic ( like me !) to say the least but presumably there are limited ways in which HWMBO can successfully achieve his raison d'etre in SE7.
And I'm pretty certain that the brains behind The Valley Party/CARD etc have whittled down the possibilities by now.
So, the question is, do "we" have the means or whatever it takes to render his cunning plan unworkable ?
Obviously, best of luck in estuarine surrounds! Such a consummate announcer that I'm sure you'd welcome overwintering plovers to the nearby mudflats during the halftime caboodle
I think we've got to force the league to act on our behalf to a certain extent (whilst obviously hunting down Rolland in Belgium). Match delays/stoppages don't seem to have forced the league's hand as yet, so it needs to be ramped up. Prevent away teams getting to the valley on time, prevent the Charlton team bus getting to away games. Bombard the league with every minor infringement of league rules, health and safety, licensing. Make it so the league are sick of hearing about Charlton every single day. Get our friends in press to change target from Rolland (who doesn't care and possibly doesn't even know about the UK press coverage) to the league bosses who do nothing.
The pressure needs to come from both sides, from pressure on Roland in Belgium to sell and from the league wanting him gone.

Good luck Dave. I was thinking I may pop down to the occasional game at Ebbsfleet, as it's the closest ground to me - nice to know there will be a familiar voice shouting at me.
Good luck, big Dave. We'll be Fleeting once or twice next season, boycotting the Valley till he's got the message.
And thanks again for your invaluable, brilliant help to us figuring out the vagaries of the Kent care home system for my late brother in law some years ago. It was hugely appreciated, sir.
Good point Dave re incentives, but be prepared for what?
For what I think will be his ultimate goal.
Many have raised suspicions as to what his ultimate goal is, or will be.
I still struggle to believe that his intentions were anything non footballing as the amount of money he has and continues to sink in far exceeds any value of the ground etc.
What's clear is he currently wants to run things on a shoe string which means we are only heading one way.......
What are your thoughts BDL?
He wants to run Charlton into the ground, turn us all away so he can carry on with his plan of making cash off of our academy players, moving crap network players in and out of the club and perhaps sell The Valley. Roland that is, not BDL.

Or do we know a man/woman who can ?
( Warned you it was naïve!)
But it's still a option.

All the best Dave
