  • Too depressing for words.
  • Well this new era inst quite working out as hoped, probably time for a new era?
  • Did anyone see Ajose live last season?

Was he as quiet for long periods of the game as he has been this season?

Four games in a row was the most he went without scoring:

So if he scores in his next game that'll still be the case...
  • Saying something when @oohaahmortimer's stats look a bit optimistic to me...

I thought he put 0% relegation by mistake, I think there is a chance
  • Wankers!

I must admit Soapy if i had to pick one word to sum it up wankers would be that word

    Thanks for reminding us again

I don't think we will get relegated, and think Slade has done a good job off the pitch but he is a typical English lower league manager. No guts in terms of making changes - doesn't respond to what is happening especially if we are leading. I would say that getting that second was more important than being careful on Saturday. Slade could have changed things which may or may not have made a difference, but say putting on Botaka for Ajose and playing Lookman more centrally, wouldn't have made us more stale, as we were pretty stale iafter scoring. Yes, we probably should have got a second, and could have got a sexcond, but we were playing a poor side, with all due respect to Wimbledon!

Slade looks at a 1-0 lead as something to protect - but it can make opponents take more risks that sometimes you have to respond to. Maybe if our defence wasn't leaking goals there would be a logic to his approach. Does anybody know what the position is with Tex and Bauer? And Lennon is definitely good at this level and knows where the goal is. I think we have to look at strengthening in central defence. Konsa is going to be an excellent player, but he is still raw and a break won't hurt him. Pearce just doesn't do it for me, from what I have seen.
  • Rudd: 7 had nothing to do and no chance with dons' shots
    Solly: 7
    Fox: 6 ropey passing
Konsa: 5 not quite his worst showing so far but his inexperience rudely exposed by a disinterested manager
Pearce: 5 has one level, which isn't enough when things aren't quite running for others
Holmes: 6 clearly our best player but terribly greedy, he blew 2 clear cut chances for others to serve himself, knackered
Ulvestad: 6 more mobile than Jackson and much better than Crofts
Crofts: 5 not sure he contributed anything much probably comfortable that RS wasn't arsed one way or the other
    Lookman: 7
    Magennis: 6
Ajose: 4 looks like he couldn't hit a barn door at the moment and he tunes out too early when it's not going for him

Slade: 1 for getting the selection about right to start the game then doing absolutely fuck all else for 90 minutes
Oy Russel - Could Botaka not have contributed more than say, Crofts or the clearly exhausted and increasingly ineffective Holmes for the final 20 minutes or so? If not why the fuck was he on the bench? Could we not have thrown on Bauer or Lennon, gone 3 at the back, pushed a couple further forward? The wheels were off 'Plan A' from the start of 2nd half but the fat bald lump just stood and watched. That defeat is squarely on him. Laying the blame at the lack of ruthlessness of the players is the words of a mealy mouthed prick. If the players aren't quite firing then make a change or even 2! Change the shape, something. If it doesn't come off, fine it's not our day but just standing in the technical area, occasionally pointing at fuck knows what is robbing a living and unforgivable.
Scunthorpe tomorrow in the form they're in was always going to be tough, Oxford on Saturday, undefeated in 4, will be just as tough. At your current level of application Charlton will soon be averaging fewer than a point a game and that leads only one way. You'll be alright cos Roly will sack you long before we get relegated. Fuck me I'm still livid.
Wimbledon weren't really very good at all until they brought on fresh legs and a different kind of striker, then they looked alright - funny that eh Russel? If you had a gram of integrity you'd have put your hands up and acknowledged your big chunk of the failings. By all means chew out anyone you thought didn't cut it but do it behind closed doors. Any more piss takes like Saturday and the writing's on the wall.
Russell Slade - regime puppet, self-serving chancer, or just really not very good? We'll find out soon enough...

It was an odd one on Saturday, it was as if Slade forgot that he was able to change things, whereas against Fleetwood his 3 subs combined for the equaliser.

This pretty much nails it for me, particularly the kicking you give Slade.
Was he managing a football team or waiting for a bus?
  • Ouch I wondered what had happened to him.

The way he was standing and then went down I thought a sniper had got him from the North or East Stand and then when another Wimbledon player suddenly went down in injury time I thought there was definitely a sniper in the stands
