do us really think we were that good do u really think we dominated Our midfield is crap To slow not enough energy Afc no 8 ran the first half Yes we missed chances we are at home for good sake Lookmans goal great, apart from that i thought we were average Really sad we have too lively wingers all we do is lump it for forward Time and time again. Mid field just not mobile enough Defence to deep Konza being played to just attract buyers Not knocking him just a fact Otherwise why would you not play more experienced and higher wage earners Thought he had a good game though Left back for us just not good enough gave his winger ten yards on numerous Occasions, always out of postion
I really enjoyed this post because it reminded me of the days when albums had the lyrics on the sleeve.
Dominated a poor Wimbledon side for 55-60mins. Did it without playing particularly well.
From an hour in the midfield got deeper and deeper, Lookman lost interest, Solly fell too pieces and our sole tactic seemed to be hoofing 60 yard diagonal passes to Magennis. We invited Wimbledon back into it - they clearly had a game plan to stay in the game and press on.
Slade has been criticised at his other clubs for being one dimensional and reluctant to use substitutes. Today we saw why.
Botaka is in a bit of form at the moment, played well for DR Congo and influenced the game at Fleetwood - why was he not given 10-15mins to shine?
I feel sorry for Ajose. He isn't helped by our style of play - he is a box player and we don't really create any chances.
Ulvestad was a positive. He started pretty anonymous but grew into the game. Definitely has air of class about him. He faded in the last 10mins or so, but that is to be expected given how little he has played in the last year.
I think Slade will rotate the team at Scunthorpe and Konsa will come out. Right time to do it imo. Scunny will be big strong and the extra power Bauer will give us will be needed.
Ultimately we had a few chances today, the keeper made some saves, but my gut feeling is we just aren't very good and we are going to end up midtable.
A great result for AFC and good luck to them, but they will admit they should have been dead and buried after an hour, as we had enough chances to kill the game off
The last 30 minutes was a negative mark for me against Slade, our play degenerated into hoofing the ball up towards Magennis, when our goal threat came from Lookman and Holmes running with the ball. There was no attempt to change things tactically, even after their second goal and baffled why Botaka didn't come on

And this.
Jackson should have come on around 75, captain fantastic always has a goal in him
Botaka should be on for lookman last 10, he looked uninterested
I was amazed that Slade didn't attempted to change things, and why we decided to play hiofball when we was in control with possession football is beyond me
Two observations from yesterday, Lookman either needs to learn how to take a corner or should let someone else who can do it, and what is that awful crowd noise thing they play for five minutes over the tannoy before kick off?

You would have thought we'd know all about taking and scoring from corners, lessons learnt from the number of goals scored against Charlton from corners last season.
im afraid too many people on here think the boycott is working. People have actually gone elsewhere and won't be returning. If and when the club is sold there will be no return of the masses, they have all gone. As controversial as this might sound, our only chance at survival might be these owners. No match comments from me, I'm boycotting. Well , I'm on holiday so can't get there. Am amazed how many boycotters are able to see the match though...
I am usually an optimist. Am I being overly pessimistic to think that if 2 or 3 of the better players get injured, we really will be struggling?
No, I don't think that is pessimistic just a realistic observation on the current squad.
The squad last season was in a similar position. Some gaping unfilled holes that hamstrung & undermined the team effort, a group of players thrown together, some good and some clearly not all that good. Some injuries of key players and Charlton are in trouble again.
Duchatelet and Meire are amateur incompetents who will never learn.
There were a few comments from Cardiff fans that Slade was negative, his teams sat back and he was unable to react when the opposition made changes. All true on todays effort. One fan even said RS might help stabilise the club, and I'm not sure too many of us thought that stabilising ourselves in league one was really the sum of our ambitions. In itself, a loss isn't the end of the world. Anyone remember that one against bottom of the league Swindon when we were gunning for the Premier? It's the general feeling that we have settled into a new reality, where a finished squad will always be missing a vital component, in this case a good midfield. A win on tuesday and we'll all be happier again. We're football fans and that's what we do. But a defeat, and 1 point from 9....? Get your helmet on Russel. The honeymoon is ending.
To be honest if Roland hadn't come in we would have been poor off financially and he may well have saved the club from admin. But that said he has made many poor decisions sice. It's like Man A saving Man B from drowning and the next day Man B returns home to find his wife in bed being mounted by Man A.
But would that scenario not present Man B with an opportunity to repay Man A by saving him from drowning by muff diving ?
BTW. What happened to the celebration of Valley Gold yesterday ? There was not a mention of Valley Gold at all. Wasn't there something announced on the OS on Thursday ?
I spoke to an elderly fan in length on the way to the game today. He seemed fairly oblivious as to the protests and that fans were upset with how the club was being run.
Made me think about the average fan and that most never see the posts on here.
Did he have silver hair and also vote Brexit did you ascertain ?
Better team performance than last week at Fleetwood, but a failure to finish off the opposition and the lack of forward planning with subsitutions by Slade cost us 3 points.
Time for Ajose and Konsa to come out, with Novak and Bauer in.
Didn't go but followed the match on Twitter... If you don't take your chances, you deserve to lose. AFC had chances, they took them, they win the game. It might be daylight robbery but they deserved the 3 points, IMHO.

So depressing and such an unnecessary defeat! Only seen two games this season so far, but Slade is clearly not a tactician and ultimately facilitated the loss because of it.
A lot has been mentioned about not giving Ajose the service he needs. Fleetwood last week was my first match and he didn't really have anything to feed off and looked more and more alienated as the game wore on. Can anyone, who was at the game yesterday, tell me if he was presented with any chances during our dominant first 60 minutes?? Judging by the 2 goals he has scored so far, neither of which were confidently taken, I fear we may have bagged a rotten apple. So looking forward to Scunthorpe on Tuesday now .....

Novak was wank when he came on yesterday, struggle to see what he'll offer. No pace, no strength and no awareness to stay onside
I don't care if we win when we don't 'deserve' to win. I will wallow in those three lovely points anyway, relish them like a Hotel Chocolate treat. Yesterday we lost, whether it was deserved is much less pertinent than whether there are reasons or not. There are, in my view, clear reasons we lost, and they are down to both match day events, and lack of preparation for this season by this appalling regime.

Very poor from RS today
Sad sad times.

Apart from anything else, until that side of our game changes we'll never get anywhere near the play-offs.
Simple Simon met a pieman on his way to the fair,
Said Simple Simon to the pieman, what have you got there?
Said the pieman to Simple Simon, 'Pies you c*nt'.
I rest my case .
