Looked very solid with 5 in midfield with look man very lively in first half.
The 5 in midfield meant we was not as over run as we ended Saturday's game but looked a bit toothless up front, although we did have a few half chances.
BFG looked very solid and having him back will be massive.
Starting to get a bit concerned slade is not bring pro active with subs but he may have been happy with a point.
Shame about the 60 odd year old Cafc fan that had to resort to grappling another fan round the throat, pathetic really
Sounds like a good performance but performances mean nothing it's about results! Just finding every result not good enough at the moment, show the limitations of this squad due to its size, hate to say it but we aren't going up this year. Not even totally sure if we have hit rock bottom either

good point against the table toppers who are scoring for fun. Problem is we lost the easily winnable game last Saturday. one step forward & 2 back. Need to go on a good run & only Millwall should present us a problem over the coming few weeks.
We should be able to get 10/12 points from the next 5 games - if so we will be looking at a top 6 spot -if not then be prepared for a long, hard season. I don't think we will be looking at the bottom 4 but certainly looking at another season in this League.

We are actually only 3 points off the playoff spots at the moment, which we threw away on Saturday. The league is very tight, as the early pacesetters Bolton and Bradford like us have failed to win any of their last 4 matches

What happened here then?
Bloke seemed to take offence to a bloke swearing but instead of saying anything grabbed the guy round the throat which seemed a bit OTT
Son told me about the incident and said the older guy was having a ruck with a young guy who was swearing. Then my son said all he heard was the old man swearing at him if he didn't stop swearing.

It was weird and to be honest the older guy did himself no favours, if they other bloke had punched him could of had no complaints after acting like a twat
playing alone up front, Magennis was immense tonight and had good support from Lookie and Freddie .. says a lot that Mirfin, the Scunny central defender was named their m o m .. good all round performance from everyone .. Slade picked a side with safety first a priority and we deserved at least this hard won point from a clean game that was interesting and intriguing without ever being over exciting .. BUT playing like this we won't score many .. be interesting to see who gets the start on Saturday .. I suspect he'll go unchanged unless Holmes is fit A point against the leaders, and Scunny is a decent side, is well received .. good game and a decent result to get us back on the road
EDIT forgot to write .. Bauer made a HUGE difference and Pearce looks far more confident and capable with him alongside

The old man told the young guy to "stop fucking swearing", you can't make it up.
Scunthorpe looked pretty good, I expect they'll be up there come May. Foley had his best game for us but Lookman was our MoM for me. He creates something out of nothing.
An excellent point away to the league leaders, who had a 100% home record beforehand.
Scunthorpe have been averaging 3 goals a game.
Some of the sort of comments on here are unjustified. Criticise Charlton for losing at home to Wimbledon, but don't say it's not an excellent point tonight please. Not word for word but,
" Just finding every result not good enough at the moment."
"I'm not kidding myself a point at Scunthorpe is any good."
"It would have been a good point if we'd beaten Wimbledon."
can't argue with this .. Jordan B had our best chance very late on and blazed over .. however he was put under immense pressure by their defenders .. it was our best, though by no means a clear cut chance
A point and a clean sheet away from home against a good side (in this division), I'll take that. Would anyone have really been shocked had we lost 2-0?

All hail the new era
More of a case of sit down v stand up
