Shocked at that. Bielsa is a hero at Leeds.

    I'd take him!
    I wouldn't.

Couldn't have a manager who had to speak through an interpreter. We have enough problems with players trying to understand what Jackskn's trying to do, let alone 2nd hand through someone else.
Your aware he speaks English to the players right?

I mean this may be a whoosh but it is a very common misconception around that he can't speak English, he speaks decent English.

The interpreter is there for interviews as English is not his first language and he knows what the English press is like and he doesn't want anything he says turned around against him, so he prefers to speak in his own language with the use of the interpreter.

I actually find that's a clever way of doing it, press can't miss quote you then.
I have only seen him speak in Spanish EVER. He has 3 or 4 smurfs who Convey his orders in English . When he actually speaks any English I will change my view but not on what is heresy, or rather in this case not even hearsay as it were.
Well whatever language he speaks, these three individuals, who have been major players in his team's successful times and who have all been out injured during this run of defeats, seem to have understood what he did for them as evidenced by the fact that they all became internationals during his time at the club:

  • It’s interesting to compare Jackson’s last 6 stats with Bielsa’s.
  • Reports that Bielsa is gone from Leeds.

Ex Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch to take over.
Bielsa was being paid a reported 8 Million a year at Leeds .. when I saw them play us at the Valley 2/3 years back, he spent all his time sitting on his blue bucket like a Latin Buddha while his many assistants shouted instructions to the players .. there were four of them all pointing and gesticulating in different directions, that could be why they lost .. Gallagher's first goal for us as well if I recall
Wasn't it Bonne? The ball hit him and flew into the net

A mixture between Bonne and Lockyer. Gallagher had nothing to do with it and had already scored a number of goals before the end of September.

you're right, I am getting my games mixed up, Gallagher scored much earlier against Stoke .. incidentally, I have just read that Connor  had 'minor heart surgery' in 2018

    17 H Costa

Just looking at the Leeds team we beat at home back in Sept 2019 ..  a lot who played are still first teamers, when they're fit .. shows a lack of investment ? and like us, injury problems

Whoever gets the Leeds job will need luck to stay up and a bit to spend in the summer

Agreed, it's been impressive the way he's kept faith with the British "journeyman" players like Ayling, Dallas and improved the likes of Bamford and Phillips, but their squad isn't great.

  • Looks like it's going to be Jesse Marsch replacing Bielsa , an American coach out of the Red Bull system . Failed at Leipzig after replacing Julian Nagelsmann, and a big task to keep this Leeds side up with a fairly large style change.

Do wonder how much the 49ers ownership that part own Leeds have had their hand in all this.
  • Steve Bruce is working his magic at West brom since taking over. 1 point and 1 goal from 5 games and has taken them from 6th to 13th. Bottom of the championship form table since he took over.

How do these managers keep getting jobs?

He did say he'd get WBA out this division but didn't mention in what direction.

Such an unimaginative appointment, the type I always hope we avoid making when we’re changing manager.

West Brom are all over the place with their managerial appointments, reacting against the failings of the previous one, rather than settling on a style of football they want to play.

When Bruce is sacked they'll swing the other way, either going for a young British coach (someone who's made his name in an academy at a Big 6 club) or an "exciting" continental coach

They had one of those. And made the massive mistake of replacing him. They even sacked Bilic the day after WBA earned a draw at Man City!

Bilic has a career win percentage of 45.56 whereas Bruce, in 12 stints as a manager, has only surpassed that at the one club - Palace, when he walked out after just 18 games to take the Birmingham job. Bilic's sides tend to try and play football too and wouldn't have failed to score in 9 of their last 13 matches.

Surely Warnock should be included? Maybe one last job like his last jobs at QPR, Palace , Boro, Cardiff......

Because owners and chairman are desperate for success. Football management is a circus

Only really succeeded at Swindon, and Orient are too close to the relegation places for comfort
  • Paul Tisdale has been sacked by Stevenage... Unsurprisingly he's been replaced by Steve Evans.

Tisdale is too much of a lightweight. Needs a heavyweight for a job like Evans to keep Stevenage up.
  • stewards enq .. PADDY Brennan being very honest .. should be no change
  • there you go
