I think he might like a bit of a go in European football, which is a very long way off for Lincoln.
I blame Brexit for that!
Ireland (southern) is still in Europe .. the entire island could soon be
It’s the Republic of Ireland, don’t worry @Lincsaddick I had to correct a certain Ian Baraclough (Non Iron Manager) recently at Wigan away and he’d managed Sligo Rovers in the past.
Michael Appleton and Lee Johnson are among four contenders to be the next Hibernian manager.
Appleton left English League One side Lincoln City last month, while former Hearts and Kilmarnock player Johnson was sacked by fellow third-tier club Sunderland in January.
Rob Edwards has left Forest Green just a few days after winning the league 2 title.
He's expected to be announced as the new Watford manager soon.
Watford's recent managerial decisions have been a nonsense. Just within the last 12 months
A young manager Xisco gets them promoted to the PL, and is then sacked when they are in 15th They then bring in a veteran in Ranieri, then replaced him after a few months by an even older stager in Hodgson Now they're going back to a younger manager, who did well in L2

Suprised at that but do like FGR statement:
"FGR confirms the departure of Head Coach Rob Edwards. Rob was a key part of the team that gained promotion to League One this season. We’re disappointed that our support, loyalty and honesty towards Rob has been repaid in this way - with negotiations taking place behind our backs.
We had no contact from Watford, from whom we might expect less, but in any event this kind of behaviour gives football a bad name.
We thank Rob for all his work at FGR - forgive him the manner of his departure and wish him well."
Gary Rowett is now 5/2 favourite to take over QPR… wonder what our lovely neighbours think of that? 🤔
Seems a strange move.
We can all understand why any civilised person would want to leave the Toolbox, especially a former Charlton captain, but are QPR that attractive as an alternative?

Rob Edwards put out a statement in reply
"Just tucking into a lovely steak. Hmm looking forward to jerk chicken, liver casserole, roast pork, lamb shank, confit de canard, foie gras and steak and kidney pie, yummy. No more tofu ever again."
I wonder what Watford fans think of that ! I can't say I'd be too chuffed if I was in their shoes. Would be like us choosing a manager who's just taken a side up from The National League or worse as Watford should be looking at getting promoted again asap & would be looking at attracting talent good enough to do that. Not too many aspiring PL players would be inspired by Rob Edwards.

He might consider it more "attractive" in ways not directly linked to football alone of course - I'm sure those fans not particularly happy with the brand of football being displayed last season have their own very unique way of expressing their dissatisfaction. Oh and I think that losing Jed Wallace might also sway any decision to leave.

Looking on twitter most of their fans replying to the official announcement seem really positive about it. Think they're excited to have a young up and coming manager as opposed to a foreign nobody.
Most are just hoping he gets some time to actually build something and not be sacked if they go 3-4 games without a win.

The strange thing is a lot of our fans would be happy to see him go
Really? With the season you have had? Think he has done a great job at your place(unfortunately) 😉
Yep. A lot of our fans think he’s too negative and the footballs too dull.
I know someone who is a Millwall and Charlton season ticket holder, yeah I know, and he says Millwall are boring to watch.
Do any of them actually watch the football?
Seemed to spend the whole game making throat slitting gestures, readjusting their flat caps and making sure their stone island badge is visible on the police cameras

Last third of the season we were, in the main, brilliant. Prior to that it was a bore. It’s like Rowett plays ultra cautiously until we’re mathematically safe from relegation and then let’s the shackles off. If we’d played like that from the start of the season we would have comfortably made the play offs.

The good old days, watching Charlton one week and then Millwall the following week. Beers, pie & mash and plenty of laughs with all your family and mates no matter who they supported.

My old man is Millwall but used to watch both. My grandad on my mums side was Millwall as that was his local club but would go and watch football anywhere in London. They didn’t care for the tribalism, they just loved watching football. I didn’t follow in their footsteps. I loved the tribalism lol

QPR and Blackburn are vacancies in the Championship
How long before he sacks Ince and puts himself in charge?
